Nice Breakfast, Comfortable Spot 11/4/2010

Gave Muddy's a try this morning, and enjoyed it very much. My wife had the French toast and I had their version of huevos rancheros. Good decaf coffee, free refills, and the food was very good, the service was prompt, and the food came out hot and the prices are very reasonable. No big excitement, but who wants that with breakfast? Nice place. I'll go back. more

A Portland Favorite 5/12/2009

Every time I go there I am greeted with a smile, they give amazing service, and they say good bye. For me... that makes going out for breakfast or coffee wonderful! Pros: Friendly service, great food, good coffee Cons: Takes some time for your food... but it's worth it. more

Amazing Food, and even Amazing-y-er Service (hehe) !!!!!!! 2/16/2009

Home away from home! i have eaten here 3 different times...and its off the hissy fo rizzzy (that is ""off the hook for real"" for all you squares) the service is amazing...i wanted to become bff with everybody that works there. I have always gone with the specials, and it has never done me wrong, although the burrito has been calling my name..maybe next time. For breaky a week ago... I had croissant souffle with veggies, cheese, and lovin'.... today i had a ham sammy with swiss on marbled rye, with this amazing avocado, pesto-ish spead...umm yah bomb! Check it out, you wont be sorry! more

If your looking for a quiet, unassuming cafe...this is it! 4/17/2008

I have been here a few times and it is quickly becoming a favorite. The food is really good. Mmmm...tofu sandwich. The breakfast options are yummy, too. I do love a place with self serve coffee, no waiting for refills. The people that work here are down-to-earth and not bothersome. If you are looking for a fancy, high-end experience. This is not the place. Just regular, nice people maiking good food. Pros: Inexpensive, easy parking. more

Great Service, Great Food - Check It Out 7/28/2007

I stumbled upon Muddy's while exploring Mississippi Ave and couldn't believe how tasty, fresh, delicious and affordable the food was. The fact that most items are around $6 makes this more than a must try. In other neighborhoods food like this would easily go for $8-$10. If you're not careful you'll find yourself becoming a regular. more

I love the Mississippi neighborhood, and Muddy's is my favorite place to visit for lunch after a long afternoon of shopping. The cozy atmosphere and made-from-scratch food is really great. It's really nice to go to a restaurant and get good-sized portions of tasty food that is completely affordable. Check this place out. You won't be sorry.
