CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Indicated vehicle needed $600 worth of repairs. Advised that vehicle could not be driven because ""the wheel is about to fall off"". I had the vehicle repaired (minor) for approximately $150 and the wheel was never in jeapordy of falling off!! \r I have done business with this location for years, HOWEVER, Ricky and LJ are no longer there. BEWARE of the new crew!!\r I'm a single, senior female. They tried to take advantage of my assumed lack of knowledge. more

As a female, I always hated taking my vehicle in to get serviced as I felt the guys looked at me creepy and I felt like they always tried to get my to spend more money than was necessary because I knew no better. I visited Colony Tire on N. Harrison in Cary because it was close to my job, but I was skeptical it was just another one of ""those places"". Much to my surprise, I actually was treated the opposite as the other places have treated me. I was greeted as I entered, asked what time I'd like to come back (versus them telling me when it would be ready), offered a ride to my job, received a phone call upon completion and even got a shuttle back to pick up the vehicle!! That's what I call great service. Needless to say, I have not went any where else since that first visit. I never feel akward and they even know me by name now. Another benefit I love about this place is they always let me know if other work is recommended, but never pressure me into doing it. They give me an estimate and let me know the urgency of the issue to ensure I can budget in time to fix the issue prior to it being too late! If you have not tried Colony Tire on N. Harrison Ave in Cary, I recommend you do! They have yet to disappoint me! more

I went in for a check-engine light problem, which was handled quickly and effficiently. As a sidebar, I mentioned another problem to LJ (the mgr) who was willing to investigate. Strange story...my car reeked of nasty animal smell (I'd thought of calling the ""Car Guys"" I was so frustrated). I'll spare the details, but LJ and his staff were willing to track down the real source of the stench, found it, and fixed it!!!!! I was a very happy customer. They clearly went beyond the call of duty to help out a desperate customer.\r \r Another thing...everyone there is very nice and helpful...shout-out for Ricky. Very nice customer service touches. Gives me faith in people and quality service. \r \r I highly recommend Colony Tire! more

After researching tire prices on the internet for a week, I found a set of Michelin LTX M/S2 tires online for about $50/tire less (including shipping charges!) than most of the tire stores in Cary or Raleigh were charging, not including the $70 current Michelin promo. I emailed and called the two largest tire franchises and neither came close on price. One of them asked if he could buy the tires from me! After reading the reviews, I called Colony and they matched the price (including taxes). I had quotes in hand that I had printed off but they trusted me and emailed me a written quote shortly after the call. My check engine light came on 24 hrs before my appointment (timely, huh?) so I had them do that work as well (thermostat) and they delivered as promised -- not a penny more than quoted. The mechanic came out AFTER I had paid and told me he left the heat on for me and suggested that I replace my belts pretty soon (I've got 120,000 miles on them!), which he could have done BEFORE I checked out if he was just trying to extract more business from me. I do most of my own work on my truck (mostly because I've had a heckuva time finding an honest mechanic!), but I'll probably be taking it to Colony now instead. more

I got out of work on a Wednesday night & I started to drive & realized I had a flat tire. I knew that Colony Tire on Harrison was closed, but I thought I'd try & call them anyway. Much to my suprise they answered the phone. I explained I had a flat tire & was stranded at work & needed help. \r I had been there for service the week before and had exceptional service from LJ, so that is why I called them. WIth LJ being out, I thought there was no way they'd send anyone, but they did! Jon & Randy sent Mario who was so nice, he changed my tire & took my damaged tire back with him. I went the next day and got my new tire & just raved to them how awesome I thought they were for helping me the night before. I came home, posted on Facebook, how I couldn't believe after hours they helped me. Any other place would have either said ""Sorry we're closed"" or not answered the phone. I was so grateful for the help. IT didn't cost me an arm and a leg to get a new tire & I have continued to go back and will continue to go back. I have told my coworkers so some of them use this Colony Tire now too! They go above a beyond to help their customers & keep their customers! I will always use them not just for tires, for everything. I found out that I had been over charged by at least $100.00 somewhere else for my new brakes before I had started using this Colony Tire, and when I need back brakes, they will get my business because they are so honest. If you are looking for a good place to have your car worked on, especially if you are a woman, that you won't be taken advantage of, Go to Colony Tire on Harrison in Cary. These guys have always provided good service at reasonable prices. But I was greatly inconvenienced one day when they did not fix my car when they told me it would be done. So much so that I started considering other shops, but they made things right. In fact, they went above and beyond my expectations and for that, they've secured my respect and business moving forth. I've never experienced customer service from an auto service the way I have with them. I was just saying to some friends of mine that its so hard to find great customer service. Everyone at this location is so friendly and professional. LJ went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. I'm so greatful for everything that they did for me. I've finally found an auto service that won't make me feel anxious leaving my keys!!! more

I was travelling from PA to NC and my air conditioner went out on a 100 degree day, plus my care was making a horrible sound. Being a Sunday with most business' closed, I had to delay my trip and stop at a hotel. The hotel recommended Colony Tire & Service on Harrison Ave. I got there first thing Monday morning and they diagnosed my problem, had the parts in stock and were able to get me back on the road. As always, when travelling and you breakdown, you worry about is business ripping off an out of towner. When I got back home and checked with my local mechanic, he confirmed the price I received to replace my broken part was in line with what it should be.\r THANKS to LJ and his staff - they were extremely helpful, kept me informed on what was going on, showed me the malfunctioning part and explained the problem and how it would be fixed. They saved my vacation from being a nightmare ! more

As a single mom, I have had difficulty finding a place to take my car that I trusted until I found Colony Tire on Harrison Ave. My first experience with Lynn and his staff was a few years back. I had a nail in my tire and pulled in Colony Tire to have it plugged. Unfortunately the nail was in my side wall and could not be safely repaired. Instead of pressuring me to buy a new tire, Lynn asked if I had road protection on my tires. He had the guys put on my spare and told me to go back to where I purchased the tire to get my replacement so I would not be charged. I never forgot how friendly and helpful Lynn and the staff were that day. The amazing thing is they are just as friendly and helpful two years later! I was recently at Colony Tire to have my timing belt replaced and found the bill to be less than what I expected which is great for a single parent on a budget. Lynn is very budget conscious and tries to keep costs low. I highly recommend this location. more

I have been going to this location for about 2 years and I am never disappointed. Lynn and Ricky are so friendly and knowledgeable.as well as the service team. The prices they quote are very reasonable compared to the other local repair shops. I have recommended my family and friends to this location. The service is top-notch! more

In today's economy, I'm trying to keep my two older cars going. I used to take them to another national chain in Cary....always the same location....must have spent $10k+ there on everything from electrical shorts to rebuilt transmissions. Despite my frequent patronage, I was usually treated with indifference....but when they tried to burn me on a inspection, saying I needed over $1000 in repairs (took it somewhere else and it passed), I said enough's enough and looked for another outfit. That's when I found Lynn ""LJ"" Jackson and his team at the Colony Tire on N. Harrison in Cary. I have never received anything but the friendliest and most courteous service from these folks. They take the time to carefully listen to a description of the problem so they can fix it right, the first time. My repairs are always done on time and Lynn always manages to save me a few $ by shopping around and getting me the best possible prices on replacement parts. Not once has anyone tried to sell me or my family unneeded repairs. I am delighted with their service and plan to bring my cars there for many years. more

LJ and the guys at Colony are always polite, professional and easy to do business with!!!I \r I took my car if for an oil change and leave it with them at 10 am. I tell them I will be back at five. I get there right at five and the car in on the lifts, almost ready. I take a seat and wait. They call my name I go up front to pay and LJ says ""it's on me"". He said ""I dont like it when someone comes in and has to wait"" I told him I take my car there because I like the service and will pay for the service. He has none of that and comps the service. Exceeded my expectations big time!!!! more

My daughter and I were traveling home from visiting family over the holiday. The check engine light came on just out of no where! We were a few exits east of 287 where I just happened to get off. As I approached the stop light the car began jerking and tring to cut off! Thank God for Colony Tire!! My car barely made it into their parking lot. Once we went inside, we were greeted immediately and we felt relieved because of the warm welcome. Lynn Jackson, the General Manager was directed to us and promptly handled our situation. Man! He took care of us! He got a Tech on it right away! However, our car's problem was unable to be corrected immediately, he gave us a detailed description of what needed to be repaired! My car broke down yesterday near Colony Tire. Even though the store was fully booked with scheduled repairs and was closing soon for the day, they helped me. After the store closed, the manager Lynn, and Jon and the crew stayed behind to give my car detailed attention. They found the problem -- a problem that had been occurring the past month. I had taken it a month ago to the dealership where I bought the car, and they could not pinpoint where the problem was, nor how to fix it. They could only agree the car was not operating safely. I am so relieved now that I found Colony. \r The staff at Colony are not just experts, they are caring experts, and it's clear to me they take pride in their skilled work, and have integrity. more

The Colony Tire location on N Harrison has managed the maintenance on my family's vehicles for 4+ years. Every time I enter the facility I'm greeted by name like an old friend; every time I need something non-specific Lynn and Ricky have their crew find the problem and fix it. Every time I have an odd request or the folks at Colony, they either fix it themselves or identify what it is and send me to someone more qualified. Have reliable car service personnel I trust is hugely gratifying. Despite know very little about car maintenance I always feel in good hands with Lynn and Ricky. I highly recommend letting them perform the service your vehicles need. more

I have used Colony Tire for years for my oil changes. This month, my car needed new tires, an alignment, and new brake pads. Lynn Jackson and Ricky at the N Harrison location were outstanding. Lynn picked up my car, took it to the store, and did all of the work which was over 700 dollars and brought my car back to me. Service was awsome and I will use this location from now on even though there is a store closer to my house. Highly recommend this location!! more

I have been taking my cars to this colony tire location for over 6 years now. The team of mechanics and sales staff are always helpful, honest and most importantly save me money! They always tell me when something doesn't need to be done, so I know when they tell me I need something I know I need it. Trust me when I tell you that the dealership will tell me I need $1000 worth of work and they will tell me I need $300. If you want a staff that is reliable and trustworthy then I recommend you take your car here! more

My check engine light came on and my car started running real bad. Thinking my car was going to kill over and in a panic I went to Colony tire for some help with this issue. They checked out my vehicle and told me I needed a tune up consisting of spark plugs, wires, and some other components. Once i got the price on what should be done in this situation I was worried because I did NOT have the money to do the repair they suggested. After talking to LJ and explaining to him my situation he smiled and said don't worry we always have a plan B for our customers. He looked at all options for me and my pocket book and came up with a solution that would get me going for less money and made me feel confident in the repair knowing I wasn't getting the full repair that was recommended. After all the headache and stress of this my car runs great and I will be going back to finish the the rest of what is needed. I liked the fact I had options and LJ reassured me that in the end we will get everything done at a pace that my pocket book could handle. NOTHING LIKE OPTIONS OR HAVING A PLAN-B!!!!!!!!!!! more
