Love the Continental Tires 3/21/2009

Ironically I just read Kevin's response. I'm here to tell you about the fine job Pineville Tire is doing for me and the community. IT IS REFRESHING to see a tire and automotive place like Pineville Tire. Jim spent a lot of time with me in helping me choose tires for my Infiniti FX35. She's my baby and I don't trust her with just anybody. I read the great reviews on Pineville Tire so I wanted to see for myself. PINEVILLE TIRE IS THE REAL DEAL. Trust, professional, nice and caring are words I have for them. I got the best deal on tires (they even beat Discount Tire). They have a wonderful showroom, like no other I have seen. I got new tires on my FX, watched March Madness on the big screen tv, ate popcorn and was out in under an hour. I will ONLY take my Infiniti to Pineville Tire from now on. Even with any future mechanical problems. Pros: Greta prices, friendly and smart staff Cons: Need more of these more

good work 3/9/2009

My '97 Ford Explorer was not turning so well and it was grinding when I would break. Firestone in Matthews said I needed work totaling over $1500. Read reviews here and brought my car to Pineville Tire. They showed me exactly what was going on with my car and gave me a quote for $350. After they got everything taken apart to do the work they realized I was 4 wheel drive instead of 2 wheel drive so I really needed a new emergency break (which makes sense b/c I drove with that on for a couple trips) and I got out of there for just over $430. Pros: Willing to pickup/drop off Cons: Closed Sundays, but most mom and pop shops are I think more

Love Pineville Tire 1/25/2009

I've lived in South Charlotte for sometime now and drive a Mercedes S550. I'm going to save a little money so I look for another repair facility other than the Mercedes dealer. So I found Pineville Tire right across the street from South Charlotte Mercedes. I am so impressed with Pineville Tire. They were friendly, their place was gorgeous inside, free WIFI, popcorn, cool LCD tv, the whole 9 yards. The experience was extremely enjoyable. I even got a discount for driving a Mercedes. The tech's explained everything about my brakes and tires. The owner was actually there and very nice. This is a 1st class operation. I'm not going to the car dealership any longer now that I have Pineville Tire. You really need to try this place. Their tire prices were better than Discount Tire. A ++ for Pineville Tire. I recently moved here from the Chicago. I had a mechanic that I used for years, and was not sure that I would find that same up here outside of a dealership. I was referred to Pineville Tire by a friend, and I am truly pleased. They came and picked up my car at no extra charge to find out why it was cutting off. After a couple hours Jim called me back with the results of there testing and said that a major repair was not needed, just some minor work. His detailed explanations and professionalism, really made me feel comfortable, like I have been going there for years. After he gave me my estimate and finished the work, Lain arranged to have the car brought the car back to my place of work. I felt the price was very reasonable; they even have a car wash and detail service. I have never experienced this kind of service, I am truly happy with my new mechanics. more

Going back to Pineville because of new owner 11/10/2008

Wow is all I can say. The new owners have it going on at Pineville Tire. I had stopped going because of the old owners. Jim is the new owner and his family owns and also run Pineville Tire. The changes they have made are remarkable. The comittment to the customer is back and lives at Pineville Tire. Pros: New Owners, family & kids room, fast service, exceptional prices more

Wow is all I can say. The new owners have it going on at Pineville Tire. I had stopped going because of the old owners. Jim is the new owner and his family owns and also run Pineville Tire. I was getting very tired of never getting into the Firestone by Ballantyne Hotel and am not a fan of Tire Kingdom. So I tried Pineville Tire & Service from a Google search stating they are family owned. I like to give business to local family owned businesses instead of big corporations. The service, price, huge interior and even the owner right there on sight blew me away. Pineville Tire is my new home for anything that has to do with my car. New to Area - Great Place 11/6/2008

I just moved in from New York and was hoping I would find a tire store like my old neighborhood tire store. I received a new coupon as a move in special from Pineville Tire so I thought I'd give them a try. Needless to say I was overjoyed with their hospitality and quickneess of getting me in and out. Love the WIFI and old time popcorn machine. Next time I'll just toss my keys to Jim the new owner who introduced himelf to me. Pros: Quick, clean, WIFI, popcorn, great service more

I can't tell you how much I dislike small and cramped tire & repair places. It doesn't matter where I travel or go to. Firestone in Ballantyne is tiny and you can't get an appointment, Tire Kingdom is out of the question and forget Buffalo Tire, they smoke and it's dirty. I can't tell you how much I dislike small and cramped tire & repair places. It doesn't matter where I travel or go to. The were very nice, gave me a great price on a set of Continental tires for my Tahoe. Then I waited in this very large showroom, had a bag of popcorn, read this month's issue of Food & Wine and looked up to catch Fox News once in a while. When Jim the owner called me to get my truck I didn't want to leave. I don't normally write about this stuff, but this place is special. Thanks Pineville Tire... Pineville Tire have a large, and I mean LARGE and very clean showroom and waiting room, comfy leather chairs, new carpet, FREE WI-FI, fresh movie theatre popcorn, upgraded coffee, great new magazines, 50 inch LCD TV, kids play room, FREE Shuttle to the LYNX Train, to Target, the Carolina Place Mall or even Home. I was thrilled to see that they are now offerring a complete car detailing menu for their LYNX Train drop off customers. I work downtown and ride the train. This will save me so much time and they are priced comparable to Autobell where you have to wait or drop it off on your own. I give Jim and Deb and Pineville Tire a thumbs up for bringing back good old fashioned "taking care of the customer". Try them for the first time or go back there and try them again. As new owners as of October 2008 they would love to see you and take care of your tire and car needs. The Best Way to Lose Your Money 12/2/2007

They sold me a package for 4 oil changes at a low price and it was a hassle to even get them to honor it upon my first visit. Since then I have been there 5 different times to get my oil changed and it is always some reason why i have to come a different day. I have given up on ever getting my car serviced at this place. more
