Excellent quality work 4/24/2015

Mr. Handyman provided excellent service and performed excellent work. They put in a new backdoor in my garage, and the man who did the installation took as long as he needed to. He put molding around the door. I was very pleased with the work he did. He also replaced all my screen doors with new screening, and they look great. more

Price estimate was 3 times higher than price I finally paid, another contractor. They want daily payment and will not give a firm estimate on the job- they nickel and dime each day which creates a poor job environment. I would not recommend them for any job. RESPONSE FROM Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville: Thank you for your feedback. I will simply note that price is only one factor in choosing a service provider. Did you go with a licensed contractor with all necessary insurance in case of issues? General Liability insurance (protects your home), Workers Compensation insurance (so you aren’t financially responsible for the medical costs of injuries to workers in your home), and a fidelity bond? Was any help your contractor brought into your home background checked and drug screened? Were they seasoned professionals, or recent trade school graduates? Did your chosen service provider deliver a quality job, or just a great price? I found it interesting that you only commented on how happy you were with the price, and that you said nothing about the work. We are proud of our reputation and our high percentage of returning customers, but we do recognize that for some it’s all about cheap. There are always service providers that will cut corners on reliability, quality and safety. You incur all the risk, but it’s less expensive. For those that don’t have time for this foolishness, that value on time arrival, quality work, safe and reliable staff and a worry free guarantee – all at a fair and reasonable price – there’s Mr. Handyman. more

Great Experience and Would Do It Again! 2/2/2015

I hired Mr. Handyman to come out and fix some property that I owned and it was a great experience. They were very effective in their communication for scheduling and letting me know when they would arrive to the site. The handyman was very skilled and knowledgeable. He worked quickly and diligently, never appearing as if he was taking his time or moving at a slow pace. All the repairs that I listed him to do--dry wall repair, fixing a complicated door knob, and wall painting--he did, even recommending me some other repairs that I should do. The prices were very reasonable and I highly recommend that somebody use them, as you won't be disappointed. more

I have been a customer of Mr. Handyman for a year. I have had them replace toilets, put up cabinets, install a door and a number of odd tasks around the house. I would recommend them to anybody. Very knowledgeable and helpful. more

I've worked with Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville twice now. They did several projects for us during their visits. They helped us install curtain rods, fixed the door from the garage to the kitchen, fixed an outlet in our son's bedroom, put a light on our ceiling fan and fixed the faucet in the shower. The handymen were very professional, arrived on time, were polite, and cleaned up after their service. I would recommend them. more

I used Mr. Handyman of Greater Jacksonville to have some work done on my bathrooms--replacing toilets and flooring, and a few plumbing issues--and they were great. Prior to coming over, they gave estimates on the work they would be doing, and product specifications as to what I should purchase for them. They showed up when they said they would, and went above and beyond in their service, sticking to the plans that I wanted for bathrooms and not cutting corners to save on time or keep below budget. I will be hiring them again to remodel another bathroom and do some minor fixings around the house. They are a great service! more

The work I had done was replacing some rotted soffit and facia boards over my garage door. Pete was good and seemed to know his work. My disappointment came from the materials side of the work. Pete checked the work and made a determination as to what supplies he needed. He went to Lowes where he got (1) gallon of paint and (2) boards, a 1x6 and a 1x10. When I got my bill to settle up with him, the materials came to about $260.00. This was the Lowes materials as described above and items listed as coming from the truck described as nails, caulk and a trim blade, I believe. Because of the hourly rate, I was prepared for a pretty good $$ amount for the labor, but the materials/supplies amount really surprised me. When I called and asked about it, Mike advised that he didn't have the paperwork, so he really couldn't discuss it at that point. I asked hm to look at it when the paperwork was turned in and get back with me, but he didn't. more

An outstanding job and pleasant experience! 12/10/2014

There were some repair challenges and Mr. Handyman came in and repaired them right away; it was very good. He repaired a kitchen drawer that was off track and kept hitting the one above it; did a more routine installation for some safety bars for an elderly person and some grouting. He does not do roof repair, but he checked where I might have some problems. He service was very courteous, neat, and informative-- he let me know what was going on at all times. The work was done very timely and I didn't have to wait a long time; I liked the idea of not having a minimum number of hours, and after the first hour they charge a 1/4 of the price. more

Honest, timely, and competent service. 11/21/2014

Mr. Handyman is excellent. Our handyman was punctual and went the extra mile to make sure everything we wanted was done to our satisfaction. He fixed our kitchen sink and also performed a few repairs in our bathroom. He was focused, friendly, and did the work well. I'd definitely recommend them. more

The people at Mr. Handyman in Greater Jacksonville are excellent. They have wonderful customer service. I would rather people take my money than my time.
