Jesse Henderson of Mother Tree Birth was our doula for the birth of our first baby, Ingrid, in 2004. We are expecting another in spring 2007 and have hired her again. I found Jesse to be an excellent "facilitator" and "event planner" for our birth - but even more significantly, having Jesse at our sides at the hospital, during the labor and birth took so much pressure off my husband and me to have to make decisions on our own - her expertise, and her ability to be truly objective and keep *our* wishes in mind, was excellent. She was also a fantastic resource in the challenging few weeks following birth - an invaluable gift to any new mommy. So, that's why we hired her again. I highly recommend Jesse! more
