I was very happy to find More Joy Auto. They are trustworthy and honest: they will lay out for you exactly which repairs you need to do, what they will cost, and what issues or maintenance may be coming up in the future but aren't worth spending the money on now. They never push you to make repairs, but give you all the information you need to make your own choices.\r

Also, they do an extremely quick turn-around. Their standard is to return the car to you within one or two days. Once, when they were unable to do that due to an ordered part being late, they offered me a free rental car for several days (without me asking). The staff is very friendly and recognizes you when you come in, and they always give your car back washed and shiny.\r

As for the quality of the repairs? They stand up favorably to going to your dealership ? in fact, they're better. My car had a serious problem with oil usage, was running dry every three weeks, and for years Volkswagen's own mechanics told me that that's the way my model operates, that the only possible fix would be to replace the whole engine, and that the new engine would likely be just as bad. I accepted this. The first time I took my car to More Joy, for something unrelated, they said, ""By the way, did you know your car has a terrible oil leak?"" Without my even mentioning the oil problem, they found the oil leak Volkswagen couldn't find, and they fixed it.\r

The price of repairs isn't the cheapest. I'd call the costs medium-level ? you pay more than you would at a rock-bottom place, but less than you would at the dealership, and the service is comparable (if not actually better) than the dealership. Definitely worth it for the quality of service.
Pros: Honest, skilled, trustworthy, excellent service
Cons: You pay more for the quality, but still less than at a dealership
