Montgomery, Mark T, Md - Associated Hand Surgeons

Dr. Montgomery has been my physician for many years and over these years he has performed numerous surgeries. Yes, Carpal Tunnel is a painful condition....try bilateral carpal tunnel, bilateral cubital tunnel(elbow), bilateral shoulder problems, and bilateral thumb injuries....all are painful conditions and he has treated me for all of them. He and his staff have always been very helpful and caring. To say that he doesn't care about your pain is ridiculous. If it wasn't for him and his incredible knowledge and expertise as a surgeon, I might not have the abilities that I have now. Pain medication is not always the answer. I recommend Dr. Montgomery to everyone I know. You couldn't ask for a better physician. more

I sliced my hand open trying to cut an apple (don't ask) and ended up with Dr. Montgomery. Waiting to have him treat me, it's amazing to see what kinds of things people can do to their hands. Dr. Montgomery was great and it has healed incredibly well. BTW - looking at the really negative review here - I looked her up and from what I see, sometimes the reviewer needs to be reviewed............. more

Carpal Tunnel Sydrome is a blindingly painful condition. I went to see Dr. Montgomery to ask about my options, including the possibility of surgery. Dr. Montgomery told me that he wanted a certain nerve test conducted and then he was about to leave the exam room. I said ""Wait. Please give me something for this horrible, extraordinary pain. He gave me a prescription and then I left his office and went straight to the pharmacy. While the medication did indeed work for the pain, the side effects were unacceptable. I called an M.D. friend of mine who told me in no uncertain terms that the medication he gave me is dangero8us when combined with a different medication that I take. I called Dr. Montgomery's oiffice and his answering service got him in touch with me. I explained the situation and he flippantly replied, ""then go off of it."" I said, ""But what about this pain?"" and he told me that he is a hand surgeon and that he does not deal with pain medication. I told him that that is absurd. He then told me to go to another doctor and I told him that no other doctor is going to prescribe anything because it is he who my treating doctor. He then said, very coldly, ""Just go to the Emergency Room."" And then he hung up on me!! Thank you so much for your hostile and arrogant indifference to my horrible pain, Dr. Montomery. Dr. Mark Montgomery is “hands-down” the best orthopedic doctor I have seen. Having suffered with chronic carpal tunnel syndrome for the past year, Dr. Montgomery was able to alleviate my problem quickly. His expertise is unmatched in my book. I highly recommend him. more
