My favorite type of food is Mexican food. My favorite mexican restaurant to go to is Montelongos. If you Love authentic this is the place for you. They have wonderful menudo, and carne guisada. You can come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The atmosphere is kind of plain, but they make up for it with the friendly family oriented service, and great food. I would recommend to any mexican food lover!! Pros: Great food, good prices, fast service more

  • In 1972, our owner's grandmother opened Montelongo's Mexican Restaurant. Born and raised in Mexico herself, she could not speak English when she came here. But that didn't stop her from living her dream. She started this business with little money but a lot of heart. With hard work, dedication and love, she built this restaurant into the go-to spot it is today.

    For more than 50 years, this family-owned restaurant has been serving the Lubbock, TX community. Our community. Come by and see what authentic Mexican cuisine tastes like at our family-friendly restaurant. We promise you won't be disappointed.
