Monique of Switzerland Jewelers

Monique is wonderful! My fiancee and I went to her about a year ago to look at wedding bands. She helped us to find beautiful wedding bands that fit our budget perfectly. I was extremely happy with the bands we purchased from her and I felt like we got a very competitive price. In addition to the bands, Monique noticed that my engagement ring had a large tanzanite stone in it and that it was already rather scratched. I love the color or tanzanite an that's what I always wanted, however, the stone was getting darker and darker as it got more and more scratched and it wasn't as beautiful as it used to be (after only a year and a half of wear). Monique educated me on the hardness and softness of stones and recommended that I replace my tanzanite with a tanzanite colored sapphire (which I didn't even know existed) and she said that she could put the original tanzanite stone into a necklace where it would be more protected and last a lifetime. She told me that it likely wouldn't last a lifetime in a ring and it would surely be so scratched up that I'd need to have it completely re-cut at some point. Monique was confident that she could find a tanzanite colored sapphire that would look almost identical to my original stone and it would be much stronger and much more resistant to scratches. My fiancee and I decided to make the change, as we obviously didn't want my engagement ring to break in 5-10 years. Monique went on a search for the right stone and called me when she had a few options for me. When I went to her store, I couldn't believe how beautiful and perfect the stones were! I left my ring with her and in less than a week, it was back and more beautiful than ever!! The necklace was also stunning! She had the necklace custom made to match my ring identically, and she cleaned up my original tanzanite stone so that it was scratch free and back to it's original beautiful color. I could not have been happier with what Monique did for us. She is obviously very educated in her field and she is also a very genuine and generous person. I feel like I got the best product possible at a very affordable price. I believe that Monique loves to see her clients happy and particularly make brides happy. This seems much more important to her than simply making money, which was my experience in most other jewelry shops that I went into prior to finding Monique. Her shop is nearly an hour away from my house, but I will always return for anything that I need done, whether it be simply re-sizing a ring, or buying new jewelry. I can confidently say that she is one of the best in her field. more

My first experience with Monique was at a wedding fair in the cities. I was a little apprehensive at first about stopping at their booth, as I was worried this would be yet another let down in regards to finding that perfect wedding ring? Upon speaking with Monique, I realized that she wasn't there to try and sell me anything on the spot. She took the time to listen to me, and what my dream ring would look like. I had a lot of old jewelry that I needed appraised. Moniques had been recommended to me. I was not disappointed. The shop is smal and tastefully done, It felt relaxed and cozy. The owners paid immediate attention to me. They took as much time as needed to explain everything to me. I sold the jewelry to them. i recieved much more than expected. They even referred me to a another jeweler who would pay more for some items. I would recommend them highly. more

She has the access to diamonds like a more well-known jeweler has, but gives you that ""small town feel"" at each visit. After checking several other retailers I visited Monique's to sell my unwanted gold. I walked in and immediately was greeted warmly by Monique. Not only did she educate me on the different types of gold and how it is valued but gave me the highest price. I really felt lke a family member. This store is truly a home town jewelry store. The diamonds and jewelry displayed are outstanding as well as Monique's service. I was so impressed that I purchased a ring designed by Monique in addition to a custom made ring. In this day and age it is hard to find excellent customer service.....well I found it with Monique and her daughter. They both helped me with a birthday and several Christmas gifts. They have high quality jewelry, expertise and such a willingness to go out of their way to help with a special purchase. Originally reviewed October 2010. I searched around for my girlfriend's engagement ring for a while, checking all the big name stores. I wasn't impressed with the price or service at the other locations so I kept searching. I came across Monique's from searching online, and I am very pleased. I called her up on a Saturday morning, and her son brought in 7 diamonds just for me to look at that afternoon. Their prices and service cannot be beat. I reccommend them 100% and will be doing all my future business with them as well!! UPDATE 11/9/11 The wedding is almost here and the most terrible thing has happened; my fiances ring was stolen two weeks before the wedding. With the help of Monique we got a replacement diamond and new band in just about a week. I can't speak highly enough of Monique and her staff. She is their to please and make sure you get what you want at the best prices around. I recommend Monique very much, you will not be disappointed! more
