I thought I would try the new drycleaners in my neighborhood. Mom & Pop's (Town Center & Twain in Summerlin). I took in 2 of my husbands shirts for drycleaning. I picked up the shirts without event, & paid for the service. I hung the bagged shirts in my husband's closet and life went on. When my husband removed his shift from the bag/hanger it was found to be shrunk. It was a silk shirt that had been laundered & starched. I had requested drycleaning not laundry service. It's now over a size smaller & he will never be able to wear it again. I returned the shirt to the cleaners and spoke with the manager. She wanted the shirt to show the owner & stated they would get back to be. Many days later the manager called and stated the owner will not refund the shirt price or the charge for the cleaning, but I could have a store credit. I expressed I was not interested in store credit, rather I wanted a refund as I would not be using their services again (based on poor performance). I asked to speak with the owner directly. Over a week passed the and owner never called. I stopped by the store on 3 difference occasions and called numerous times. The owner was never available, and he never returned my call. Finally, frustrated with lack of concern over this damage, I called and stated the owner had 1 hour to call me or I would be calling the Bureau. The owner called in 29 minutes. He refused to refund any of my loss (shirt or cleaning). He then told me to be careful regarding what I say because he has a corporate attorney. I informed him I would indeed be notifying the bureau as well as leaving my review on City Search. I found their lack of communication (follow up), making a customer return to the store multiple times, & their refusing to admit fault
