I came along and read the review for my complex I was Disgusted by what People Said about Connie. I have been a tenant here be for Connie came SHE CHANGED THE PLACE COMPLETELY!! The complex and all the renovation and the LOVE she put in this place were amazing. The new staff and Manager Tera are LAZY, RUDE,and not good at managing anything but there smoking breaks, And I hate Living and dealing with them. People should get the facts straight Connie was never fire but let go due medical reasons after 16 yrs of devotion to the property.. Chris and the owners Make me wonder if they are just money hungry people that dont settle for excellence. I have been a resident of the Modernaire for over seven years. Many residents complained that Connie was very rude and difficult. She was fire. New manager is letting her assistant run the office. Johnny is very impulsive, bias and lack of good judgement. He doesn't respect the residents, making negative statements of people. They're very lenient with future residents. Before, we felt safe and it was very quiet in here; at the present time, the new management is allowing trashy and troubled people into the apartment complex, which is becoming very noisy, disruptive and unsafe. Management be aware of these issues. You're losing good residents. Chris, you should have a talk with Johnny and remain him of his duties. more

I lived here for 10 years and when I first moved in there was a husband and wife management team that worked and lived there. I know his name was Frank and I think that hers was Karen or Vicki. They were very nice, allowed the tenants who lived in the white bldg at 2441 Cardinal Drive to use the laundry and rec room. I was one of these tenants. They moved to Kansas and then Connie was hired. I have nothing nice to say about her and dealt with her as little as possible. Even when she was suppose to be working she was never in the office or she had someone there that did not speak English.\r \r In the time that I lived there it went from great to horrible and I was happy to be moving out. The restrictions on the pool were never enforced in my bldg. In the summer time everyones kids and friends were in the pool screaming and hollering at all hours of the day and night.\r \r My apartment was a 1 bdrm 1 bath and was perfect for one person. Small but it was livable. My sister lived across the street in one of the other bldgs and her apartment was giant compared to mine. If the rent is as it was when I left it was well worth what I paid for.\r \r The location was great. Some of the neighbors were nice. more

Management both adds to and severely detracts from this apartment complex. Connie is, as several people have mentioned, very rude and abrasive. She has little to no people skills and would be better suited to drill sergeant or some other job where she can bark at people all day long. The other management employee, I think Vanessa, is much easier to talk to. The office is very prompt at addressing concerns regarding apartment maintenance and care. Maintenance workers themselves here are very nice, and speak a little bit of English, which helps if you aren't fluent in Spanish or can't speak it very quickly. My neighbors here are pretty good, and the complex is very international. There are lots of kids, and it is somewhat family-friendly. There are heavy restrictions on pool and rec. room usage, which are ridiculous and I assume are dictated by the elderly tenants of this complex, who spy on everyone at every opportunity. No guests in the pool except for Monday through Thursday before 2 pm, with management approval/registration required and bathing caps? Are you kidding? Parking is okay, but there are several people at the complex that use guest parking spots to ""garage"" their cars 24/7/365, making guest parking sometimes impossible. Also, smoking is permitted, which can be overwhelming and disgusting at times (use air fresheners and keep your windows open as often as possible). Aside from highway noise, which isn't bad and cannot be heard from my apartment, the neighborhood is quiet for the most part. It has been pleasant living here for the past several years, aside from the issues listed above. The apartment is affordable and a good deal for the ease of location and size (they are spacious, albeit older). I have recommended these apartments to people who were interested, and it has worked out pretty well. Overall a decent complex, but be aware of the many pitfalls.
