Best

Excellent food, awesome hibachi chef, great sushi, and Chung is my favorite server.

Worst

I don't really recommend Miyako if your going for the regular dining. The Hibachi and Sushi might be alright but I probably will not be back to find out. I got the Filet Mignon Te...

Table for two 10/8/2011

I took my friend here because he wanted some sushi. It might be there problem that they have TOO MANY options! Which is great but makes it hard to make a decision. We ended up getting and appetizer, 2 sushi rolls and 2 entrees and there was too much food for the two of us! more

Everything about Miayko is just AMAZING!!! 6/30/2011

Cuisine are always inventive, superbly executed and presented. Also, there is a large selection of sushi that everyone will find something that they like, I know I did. more

Great Time 6/24/2011

Anytime me and the Bros wanna have a fun laid-back dinner we go to Miyakos. The chefs are hilarious and are chill. They give us all the sake we can drink! They can also cook a 'bad a' dinner. more

AWESOME 6/24/2011

My friend brought me to Miyako's today to get Sushi. I was worried at first because I am not a fish eater... AT ALL!!!! more

Best Hibachi Grill & Sushi 6/23/2011

We LOVE Miyako, we go there at lease once a month, I like Tony (Hibachi Chef), He is the best Hibachi Chef in town, we had great service every time and the SUSHI is the best, more

Worst dining experience ever! 4/16/2011

I took my kids to Miyako formy birthday dinner. Several tables were together as a group and were getting obnoxiousely drunk. As they continued being served alcohol, I had to keep my kids distracted from noise and very bad language. Eventually there was a fight in the restaurant at which time I grabbed my children and left. My husband went to complain to the manager and he told my husband HE was the one being rude and asked HIM to leave! $150 for a meal we couldn't enjoy as a family so they could make hundreds off a bar tab!!! more

Fun time for ALL 1/27/2011

I went to Miyako with a group of my friends for dinner. We were celebrating ..girls night out!! I split the Fire Dragon Roll with one of my friends and I got the Filet Mignon Hibachi. I wanted my steak cooked to medium rare ..and it was perfect. Because it was girl's night, we had to indulge in some TY KU sake bombs! If you're going to drink sake ..drink TY KU. All the sake I've had prior to my experience at Miyako, I could barely drink the entire thing ..with TY KU - delicious :) more

We LOVE It!! 8/22/2009

My husband & I have gone here many many times and have always had great food, a beautiful experience, and great service. Contrary to some other reviews, we have NEVER had the wrong thing brought to us and never encountered anyone with a bad attitude. We even took our 2 year old once and they all loved her. Pros: delicious food, wonderful service & atmosphere Cons: what drawbacks? more

Never go back agiain ! Terrible! 2/3/2009

My sister and her boyfriend came to visit me on Christmas. I took them to Miyako to eat. It was the worst dining experience that I had in the Japanese restaurant. The service was horrible and the server brought the wrong appertizer which we ordered. She never brought the soup to my sister. I told the chef I wanted my steak cook rare, however I couldn't eat it because he cooked it medium well, , I only had couple bite. He tossed the onion to my sister's face when she was not paying attention . My sister told the chef she didn't want shrimp, give her shrimp to her boyfriend. However, the chef gave my sister's shrimp to somebody else on the table. We told the sever the situation we had, she was ignoring me. The manager was not around. Don't go there for dining (if you want good service&good communication ) I don't think the people work there know how to resolve problems for the customers. Pros: Service was terrible Cons: Bad communication more

Will never go back 6/27/2008

Food: Only decent. Very salty and soup is very plain. more

Great Time!!!! 3/31/2008

Reading the last review is hilarious!!!! I loved the place. Had a good time, and the cook has to get your order right because he is right in front of you. I have to admit, it is hard to catch the shrimp when it is tossed, but i sure did'nt see anyone get "shrimplash" from it. C'mon man - grow up. Pros: Food, Service - good "show" Cons: parking more

Avoid 2/21/2008

I just wanted to let you know that I had one of the worst dining experiences in recent memory when my girlfriend and I this establishment on Friday February 1. I would have decided to dine elsewhere had I anticipated the sort of night that we were going to have. Pros: Food was decent Cons: Incompetent chefs more

Great Hibachi 2/11/2008

My first time at Hibachi...very cool! We ate there last night. The food was excellent! However, the service could have been a tad better. Not that service was bad...just that I didn't understand the waitress very well (Japanese with broken English), & she didn't understand me well. There were only 2 in our party, so we were seated at a bar with 2 other couples of 2 (6 people total). The waitress got our order right, but she messed up some of the others more than once. The chef was really great...food was cooked perfectly, great taste, nice atmosphere. Expensive compared to places like Applebees or O'Charleys - total bill for the 2 of us was $59.00, but the food tasted much better than those places. If you want privacy, though, you better go somewhere else. Pros: Great food, fun chef, we were seated fast, parking Cons: Possibly a little on the expensive side, waitress was hard to understand. more

Not So Much! 12/28/2007

I don't really recommend Miyako if your going for the regular dining. The Hibachi and Sushi might be alright but I probably will not be back to find out. I got the Filet Mignon Teriyaki. I asked for Medium, they gave me rare. My wife got the Shrimp Tempura and Udon soup. I hope you like mushrooms. I will say the house dressing was better than I have had other places. We actually went to McDonalds a few hours later and wished we had gone there to begin with! Pros: service was good, waitress was very nice! more

Better, much better 11/14/2006

In the very competitive arena of Japanese Steak Houses in Lexington Miyako has come light-years. Housed in the old Pizzeria Uno location it has updated its inside decor with warm earth-tones and the requisite black lacquer trim. A great place for group dining at modest prices. Excellent sushi. If you haven't been in a while you really must give it a try. Pros: Fun group dining , private room Cons: parking more
