Got a lot to learn about customer service 8/15/2011

I had always been please until my last visit. Fine if you don't have an issue, but if you do beware, all you get from the management is a bunch of excuses and rationalization. I would prefer to patronize the small locally owned business but it is a two way street, they need to go above and beyond the chains in customer service, that is not what I found at MV. ;-( more

Cinema of Choice 2/12/2009

Th Mission Valley theater is always the first-choice for me when seeing a movie. I love that it's a small, local cinema; the staff are really good people, and I like their refreshments. Besides all that, I enjoy supporting individually-owned, smaller businesses. And they need our support! Pros: Concessions, atmosphere, pleasant staff more

great theater 6/9/2008

This theater is pretty good. I live right next to Briar Creek, so I normally go to that theater, but I go every now and then for the BEST popcorn EVER - this place has it. No other theater compares. more

Top local choice for select crowd 12/22/2007

Look, if you have a bunch a noisy pre-adolescents and are considering this theater, I'll tell you this is the worst theater in town. That way, the rest of us can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. (It is my top choice for local theaters)\r Mission Valley is part of the Rialto group and they have been renovating, so at least one of the theaters has better seats than the others. The staff is friendly, the popcorn fresh, the beer cold and the candy is about the same price you see everywhere else. One word of caution: if you plan to see a blockbuster on a big day, come early. In contrast to the megacomplexes, Mission Valley has just two ticket booths, so lines do form outside the theater and at the concession stand. Pros: Staff, convenient location more

Simply the best 2/16/2006

Beer. Well coffee too. This theatre is unknown by the loud annoying teenagers you get everywhere else and sells beer to this educated crowd. Yes some NCSU students do show up, but they are there to watch a movie and enjoy the best rocking chairs on the planet. The sound or screen will not blow you away, but everything else makes you forget about that. Pros: Chairs, Beer, No teenagers Cons: not the best sound more
