We ordered a very expensive stroller that was promised to be delivered in 5 days. After 5 days we got no call backs. Lie#1: 10 days after purchase the owner said that there was a delay in FedEx because of the bad weather in Memphis at their HQ.They gave us the tracking # to confirm, so sure enough the record came up as service delay, which jived. But then I remembered the owner had said that it was being shipped FedEx ground, so I called FedEx. They said Ground Shipments were not affected by the service disruption in Memphis. Lie#2: The FedEx info said the shipment was sent from CA. I called the company, they don't ship out of CA. Lie #3: Another week later when there was still no sign of the stroller and no return phone calls, we finally got the owner on the phone who said that because of the service disruption they sent everything back to its original point of shipment. I called FedEx. They said they never do that, ever. more

this place has very present owners. they have great stuff, and they will help you bring stuff out to your car. which is great if you have a young toddler that you need two hands on at all times. Pros: customer service, gear, clothes Cons: nothing is wrong more

I went there looking for the miamoda cielo because I was having a hard time finding it elsewhere. Not only did they have it there but the guy (the husband of the owner) took me through the whole set up. I wanted to look at his other lightweight stuff and he took me through three different ones. Then once i had made my purchase he walked everything out to the car for me. He had such patience with me, Im a very picky nerotic person when it comes to my strollers. Most places just point you in the right direction but he was so helpful. There clothes and other stuff is really cute too! I like to support small businesses and saw that this one had great reviews. I ordered a $575 high chair as a gift and the store kindly offers free shipping on all orders more than $100. I specified that the high chair would need to be shipped to the recipient's home instead of my address because I live in a condo and packages are simply left by the front door of the building (while we don't normally have many thefts, I did not want a $575 item sitting where anybody could just walk by and take it). Milalilu called me when the high chair was delivered to their store and said they were going to send it out, but after 3 weeks the chair had still not been delivered. I called the store, they were nice, and said they would send the chair out, so I confirmed the delivery address again. I politely called 3 more times over the month and a half because the chair was still never sent out--each time they said it was still in the store, apologized, and said they would send it. When more than a total of 2 months passed, I called again, they apologized and said they would sent it. When they FINALLY sent the chair, they sent it to my condo--exactly what I had asked them each time NOT to do! The box sat there for a week since I do not use the front entrance to my building and anybody could have walked off with a $575 gift! I was pretty patient about their repeated delays in sending out the item, but sending it to my condo on top of it all shows overall poor customer service. I found the website and contacted Milalilu about purchasing two new model high chairs that hadn't yet come out. The owner, Nikol made me feel like her best customer and personally took care of my order. I received the wrong colors (manufacturer's error) & Nikol took care of the situation without hesitation. She answered my emails and sent me updates. They are awesome & I will be a longtime customer!!!! Pros: Great selection in stock, or can special order merchandise Cons: Having to deal with manufacturers on special orders can sometimes take longer to receive more

This is my new favorite place to buy kid's stuff. Can't go wrong with anything you pick in here. Holiday shopping is normally such a headache. I went to Citysearch and found this place. Not in a mall, thank god, parking available, and the selection is indeed great. I ended up buying a few gift cards as presents which were then wrapped beautifully and put in adorable bags. I normally hate giving gift cards as presents because they seem impersonal. But this is a place I will gladly do that in. The owner is so into every item in there that you can truly tell that everything was hand picked with a lot of thought put into it. Giving a gift card to this place will introduce them to it and I'm sure they'll thank me for it once they come check it out. Thanks a lot to the owner, who was helping me when I was there. I took a lot of your time and ended up getting gift cards! All your suggestions were great and I'm sure they'll end up getting a few of the things you pointed out. I originally stopped my Milalilu because they carried a wide variety of See Kai Run Shoes. The experience was so good, I have continued to shop there for the past 2 years. Not only do they have great, unique and SAFE (eg:Haba, Baby Bjorn) products, the staff is top notch. As you know, bringing a toddler into a store can be stressful. I have gone to other "baby boutiques" and the staff seems annoyed at times that my daughter wanted to touch and play with things in the store. At Milalilu, the staff had no problems with my daughter walking around and playing with the toys, reading the books, or grabbing shoes. In fact, they have a great basket of toys for kids to play with. My daughter loves to sit in their Big Red Car and play while I shop. The staff is always attentive and willing to order something if they don't carry it in-store. The shoe slection is great and if you are looking for one of a kind gifts and toys, this is the place to go. They have a little of everything..Milalilu is close to my home in West Roxbury, right off Rte 9 near Chestnut Hill Mall. Parking is on street but easy and there are always spaces. I'm new to town so I looked around Citysearch for just about everything. This store was one of those that I planned on visiting and never got around to even though it has amazing reviews. Finally I saw an article on the Boston Globe about one of their high chairs and it made me walk through that door. Now that our home is almost completely decorated I felt it was time to finally get our little one his high chair. The chair is not ready to be delivered yet so I spent a good amount of time browsing everything else in the store. Just wonderful things. A very friendly atmosphere. I ran into another mom there and she could not say enough good things about the place and I could see why. I've since gone to some other places and feel comfortable in writing this review saying it's the best children's store in Boston. This is the best baby store I've ever been in. I found them through an article that I read in Boston Common magazine and I gave them a visit. What I love about this place is that the products are amazing, but more importantly how the staff (I spoke to Nikol, who's the owner) is so knowledgeable about not only everything in the store but stuff they don't carry also. She has amazing taste and a very good eye for fashion and stylish products. That extends from picking great things to sell in the store and to mix and match what they have to set my child apart. This is the perfect place to outfit your child and outfit your house with children's things. The staff talks to you as if they're long time friends. They point out what is good and more importantly, what's bad. Nikol showed me things that they were expecting to get and when he product would be released and other information other stores wouldn't bother with. I came here after reading the reviews on this site and others. I wanted to add that it deserves all the praise and then some. Just the best shopping experience in Boston. How this boutique hasn't been voted as the best in Boston by any and all publications is baffling to the point I'm convinced it's a matter of paying them off or hiring someone to use the web and generate fake votes. The service is exceptional. Great gift or personal purchase suggestions, they have carried my bags and gift boxes to the car on a rainy day so I didn't have to leave the parking lot to make a purchase, they have complimentary gift wrapping and they even ship things out for you (having most friends out of state and all at the baby stage of life this has been a huge help). The selection is the best. All the luxury boutiques start to look the same, but it's refreshing to see one that doesn't carry the high price tag gimmicky stuff. A lot of stuff is great value, and there is always the over the top stuff for grandma to buy on her next visit :) I've shopped all over Boston spoiling my little one and although I live in Boston, I make the drive to Newton twice a month for this place. They are just simply worth the trip every time. The way they run the store is obvious that it's a labor of love. They are incredibly creative and accomodating. Stroller rentals anyone? It was awesome for me since I ended up not buying the one I thought I would. Beats making a $400 mistake. High chair rental? Same thing. And half the money I spent on the rentals went towards the purchase I ended up making anyway. No other store I know does this. I'm putting it here because they don't really advertise which is incredibly baffling. Just so you guys know too, I referred my friend here who has twins and they also have a store wide twin discount. Moral of the story, talk to the staff, if you are lucky enough to get one of the owners, let them know what you like and don't like. They are incredibly accomodating and geniuinely interested in you and your family, not just your purchases. The best shopping experience in Boston, kid stuff or not. If you can get past the spelling of Milalilu then you're in the game. This place is THE PLACE to shop for anything stylish and fashionable for children. Newton parents and suburban parents in general will want to shop Milalilu to set the pace for others. I come here when I want to impress my neighbors, friends and family with the new look on my children. No Baby Gap or Old Navy here... Thank you.... Service, selection and high expectations. That's everything you come to expect from Milalilu. The owner is very knowledgeable and more than helpful. In fact, she went out of her way to help me find a hard to get item. I've made them my goto store for children's gifts as they ship anywhere. My favorite place to go for baby gifts and to find the cool must have items that I can't find at bigger stores like Babies R Us. Best customer service ever. Nikol and her staff are very knowledgeable and attentive without being too salesy. All the gifts that I've gotten there have gotten rave reviews from my friends and family. I also love getting compliments on the packaging and wrapping (courtesy of their free gift wrapping). Milalilu is an absolutely adorable boutique. The environment is very welcoming and comfortable to shop in. The employees and the owners are always very knowledgeable and friendly. There is a great selection of clothing and toys. Definitely not your ordinary, run of the mill baby store. I would gladly recommend this store to anyone. I can't stop coming back to Milalilu. The service is outstanding. If I could I would buy every product in this store! Everything is of high quality but there is still a range of very affordable to very formal gifts and products. The reason why I say this is the best baby boutique is because you know every single item is very carefully chosen and thought about, and they carry so many different kinds of products from toys, to clothes, to strollers and more. It's so great for new and experienced parents because there are items that you may have not thought of or seen before that will make your life easier. It's also like being a kid again and wanting to get the best of the best for your little loved ones. This little baby boutiique is clearly the work of very caring, devoted, and knowledgeable owners. Their selection is immaculate, and you'll be tempted to spend way more than you initially intended when you set your eyes on their irresistibly cute products. The owners are always there to help, with none of the high pressure sales tactics of larger stores, and they are very accommodating. I love this store! It has the coolest assortment of baby and toddler clothes, toys, gear and equipment. I can find the most unique gifts for baby showers and birthdays. The merchandise is of excellent quality. The sales staff is friendly, helpful, and takes a lot of care to gift wrap your purchase. I can't imagine gift shopping to be any easier. I heard about Milalilu through a friend and love this place! They have a great selection of Tea Collection clothing and the Il Gufo line from Italy is amazing! There are also cool toys from Haba and other neat toys you can't find at the franchise toy shops. I take my nephew here and he would literally spend hours playing with everything and I would end up broke! ;) The best part is the service and attention you get from the shop owner, Nikol. She has a toddler girl and hand selects everything. I don't know a person who has better taste than her (except maybe me!).
