I wish I could say something good about Midnite Sun and Cruise because I really did enjoy tanning there in the middle of winter when all is gloom and doom in western Michigan. \r
\r
What I didn't enjoy was their miscommunication about cancellation policies for the Sun Club Membership. Their policy and ""fine print"" is deliberately confusing so that you will end up paying more than what you initially understand you will. For me, ""six automatic payments"" and ""easy cancellation"" led to me sending two certified return receipt letters requesting cancellation after my obligations were up ($5 dollars for each letter), several phone calls and run-arounds with ""friendly"" corporate employees explaining to me that even though my membership agreement contract says that I must have six automatic payments withdrawn to fulfill my membership, actually I have to have seven automatic payments withdrawn because my membership is canceled in the month I request cancellation. Well, that would fine and logical, except for that I was charged my seventh auto-payment in October, even though I sent a signed and dated later (with a return receipt) in September, as instructed, to have it canceled. \r
\r
Apparently, it's in my contract. \r
\r
I don't recommend tanning with Midnite Sun and Cruise unless you plan on spending a lot of money to extricate yourself from their corporate protocol. I didn't even get into all the other money I spent because the actual specifications of my plan were inaccurately described to me (""You'll receive an additional 300 points a month to spend on premium tanning beds."" - No, actually that's 300 points total at the beginning of your membership, so if you want to tan in non-crappy beds, you'll have to pay tons more money.)\r
\r
Just tan in places that don't require a contract, where you can pay a la carte for services. That's real freedom of choice.
Pros: Clean facilities
Cons: Contract agreement problems, staff is too perky, more expensive than it initially appears.
