Clean lanes 8/18/2005

This place is the cleanest in the Greater New Orleans area! The food is great, the service is great, the balls are pretty clean and the shoes do not look torn up. IF your looking for some fun and love bowling, then this is the place to go, forget Expressway and rainbow lanes, this place tears them up! Sometimes you might even get to see someone famous there! more

Rock N' Bowl - A Great New Orleans Entertainment Spot 8/18/2005

Located in Mid City, It would be hard no to have an amazing time at Rock N Bowl. This is an old school bowling alley with New Orleans Personality. It is completely opposite from the stereotypical cheesy bowling alleys. The food is pretty good. They draw some really great local bands and have a great set up for them. They really put together a good consistent product. The place screams New Orleans. more

Editorial
  • The Scene
This unlikely music venue attracts all kinds. Locals of all ages come to Cajun two-step on the large, wooden dance floor. Tourists generally stand at the protruding half-circle bar eyeing the dancers. Some patrons just come to bowl with great background music, not the usual repetitious drone heard in more traditional alleys. Rock 'N' Bowl focuses on regional roots styles, from Cajun and zydeco to swing and rockabilly.

    The Draw
Don't expect high-tech bowling that keeps score for you; this is an old score-sheet-and-pencil kind of alley. A downstairs performance space, cheekily named Bowl Me Under, hosts special events and local acts during busy times such as Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest. Patrons pony up a pay-one-price cover for unlimited back-and-forth access to both the alley and the hall below.
