Mid-America Transmission and Auto Center

Took my 2007 Tahoe in to get it's transmission rebuilt after a now closed transmission shop owner told me Craig & Mid America was the place to go and not get steered wrong. Very affordable rebuild and it's now been two years later and I've not had a problem. I'm here today because my 2008 Silverado has tranny problems and I hit this website. Figured I should share my experiences. more

I was having problem switching my gear and I was told by mechanics from another shop that I needed to change my master and slave cylinders for my clutch and it's going to cost about $350 to change them.\r \r I wanted to get a second opinion from Mid-America Transmission. They discovered that it's just my floor mat that's stopping me from disengaging the clutch fully. There's nothing wrong with my gear. They refused to take my money for their time even when I offered it.\r \r It's difficult to find honest mechanics nowadays. The owner and mechanics at Mid-America Transmission are one of a kind. I would definitely go back to them if I ever have any transmission problem in the future. These Guys are the Best! We have been dedicated customers of this shop for over 10 years. They are very honest and will not charge for an estimate no matter how long it takes. We always take our vehicles to them. Their services are very reasonably priced and they always stand behind their work. Even though they are a transmission shop they also do many other repairs. When they tell us an issue is beyond their expertise, such as an engine rebuild, we are hard pressed to find another shop we trust as much as them to do the work. They are the best at what they do and always go the extra mile to help you. more
