Mid Cities Allergy & Asthma Clinic

Made a appointment to have some test done, when I get there they want to charge me for 4 co pays for 4 visits and already where telling me my insurance was going to pay for this expensive shot that I need even though I had just walked in the door, and that they probably would schedule my test for my next appointment. I told them no thanks. I will look else where for medical care. Beware\r \r \r \r THE JUST WANT MONEY, NOT YOUR WELL BEING. more

The doctor I have only seen once. I see the nurses who administer my shots twice a week and they seem nice and personable. Its the front desk that gets only 2 stars. They just don't seem very interested in you and aren't really responsive when you have a question. In fact, when you do have a question, you feel like you're disturbing them when you ask. Its unfortunate but par for the course when it comes to doctors office reception desks. If I wasn't right in the middle of my immunotherapy I would seek out another (friendlier) Allergist. more

The front office staff at this clinic are horrible! The anonymous posting left 04/19/07 is correct. The front office staff, mainly Tiffany, cares nothing about the patients only money. The nurses in the allergy clinic are nice and I have no complaints about them or the doctors. The front office staff has cost this clinic many patients. On numerous occasions I have been informed by this office that I had a balance to pay with them when my insurance coverage paid for my treatments 100%. I had to do their job for them and contact my insurance company to find out how they should be coding my visits, then I had to inform the clinic on how to code my visits correctly and re-file the claims. Of course once this was done all visits were covered 100%, they received payment and I had no balance to pay. Just today I scheduled an appointment and once I arrived, I was informed that they would not let me see the doctor until I paid a balance. I shouldn't have a balance if they would file my c more

We had a great experience with Dr. Posnock. I brought my daughter in to try and figure out how to control her worsening asthma and test for allergies.\r \r He was thorough, pleasant, and straightforward. Some of our test results were not what I expected and he took time to explain to both me and my daughter. My daughter is doing very well under his care. \r \r I found the staff helpful, pleasant and efficient. I just put in a call to schedule a visit and the staff were again efficient and courteous. more

I've seen Doctor Posnock off and on over the past 20 years. He has always been very interested in trying to get to the root of my problems. He even takes time to chat a bit, which is a biggie in todays rushed managed care medical world!!! I'm also impressed that he knows about Celiac disease, which my son and I have, and has been willing to order bloodwork sent to a lab I recommended and in which he has never heard. more

My son has been seeing Dr. Posnok for 4+ years. He is very thorough and ensures that my 9 year old has everything he needs to control his asthma. Dr. Posnok's staff is may seem a little cool when you first walk in, but I assure you it's only because they are working quickly behind the scenes to ensure the patient load is balanced. If you are in need of an asthma and allergy specialist I would recommend Dr. Posnok or one of his staff members. more

I have been seeing Dr. Posnock for nearly 10 yrs, and now take my son to see him as well. The office is on time, very friendly, and always willing to answer any questions I have. Trust me, I have quite a few! Dr. Posnock himself takes all the time necessary to not only be a diagnosing dr., but to make sure that he is helping you live a sustainable quality of life. He has been very helpful in finding less expensive medications when I asked, always calls me back personally after hours, and genuinely cares about his patients. I tell everyone I know suffering with allergies or asthma to go see him, and start getting back to life! Pros: Everything else! Cons: hard to get a new patient visit. Be patient! more

I disagree with the other user who left a review-my experience with this clinic was very positive. Dr. Posnock spent well over an hour with me going through each and every allergy symptom, wanting to know all of the details surrounding their occurences, asking numerous questions about the environment that I live, work, and exercise in, and making notes of every word I said. I felt like he was extremely thorough and detail oriented in obtaining my history and going over my lab results. After the visit, I also received a copy of his diagnosis for my own records. I would absolutely recommend this physician and clinic to my friends and family. I have been going to dr. posnock for over fourteen years for allergy treatments. The doctors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The office is clean and quiet. I have no idea where the above reviewer visited, but it doesn't mesh with any of the experiences I have had going to this clinic. Honestly, having frequented so many different doctors offices over the years, this is the one I am most comfortable with. The Dr. treats you like family, even when you have to call them for an emergency after hours, their answering service will work with you, and in my case, the dr. called back within thirty minutes of my initial call. I even got a call from the answering service afterwards, checking to verify that the dr. had gotten back in touch with me. Truly, if you have allergy issues and want good treatment, I recommend this clinic. more

I had an amazing experience with this clinic and the doctors here. My doctor was knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain things to me and educate me. I have never felt so empowered about my own health. The office staff were so nice and overall this was the best experience I have had in a doctor's office (and believe me, I have been to alot of different doctors). Since I have had my testing and begun the treatment my doctor prescribed, I have felt like a new person. They really helped me alot and I have told everyone at my church and my son's school and all my neighbors about Mid-Cities Allergy and Asthma Clinic. My husband who hates going to the doctor comes here for his allergies and loves it too. Hands down I recommend this clinic to anyone who suffers from allergies or asthma. You won't be sorry. more

They treat you very poorly at this doctor, from the office staff to the doctors. If you have a serious problem and require a phone call from the doctor or nurse they don't ever return your calls. The doctor talks down to you and when you ask them to explain something you don't understand that they weren't clear on in the first place they get irritated and talk to you like a two year old. \r They prescribe things to you and if you have questions concerning the prescription for gosh sakes, don't call and ask any questions about it because they get irritated with you!!!\r I have actually gotten worse since starting their regimen for allergies!!!\r Don't go to this doctor!! They are AWFUL!!! The people in the office are very uncaring people. They don't treat the patients like they care for them at all. They are just $$ to them. The more people they see the more money they get. The receptionists are all fairly young and don't care if the patient is in dire need of a doctor, they say they will have someone call you back but NEVER DO! When you have a serious concern and need the doctor to talk to you the doctor won't call you back, you have to make an appointment to come in so you can pay more $$ money. They aren't thorough about explaining what is wrong with you. They get irritated if you ask too many questions. They have no patience when it comes to d e a l i n g with people. They don't understand when you are worried because something is wrong, they act like it is no big deal and just b l o w you off! If you have something wrong then no matter what it is a big deal to YOU!!!! I do NOT recommend this clinic to ANYONE!!! BEWARE!!
