Highly Recommend 2/7/2012

I had never worked with an attorney before, so when Michael Kaufman was recommended to me I decided to follow up with him about my case. He really came to the rescue when the bank was trying to foreclose on my house. He got most of my debt eliminated, I was able to keep my home, and my monthly payments were back down to something I could feasibly afford. I am so grateful for all of the help I received from Michael and his firm. more

Wet Noodle Attorney 9/12/2011

This guy has no personality, none. He's as dry as a piece of toast. I admit I'm not looking for a standup comedian when hiring a lawyer, but if this guy cracked a smile I think his face would break. And I think I know why he acts like this, its because he just doesn't give a s**t about you!. He treated me all well and good before I hired him, then nada. He was almost impossible to get a hold of. he was either ""too busy"" or was off in court. Never was he able to take my call, or even get back to me with a simple answer to my questions. I basically had to eat the $500 I paid this clown and go hire a responsible lawyer, one who actually gives a damn about his clients. more

We are yet to meet any professional that has exceeded our expectations with such competence and confidence. Mr Kaufman took charge of every detail of our case, meticulously ensuring that our paperwork was accurate and giving us clear and straightforward instructions (including making reminder calls when necessary). His work ethic was exemplary and was always available to answer any questions or concerns- we were pleasantly surprised! We appreciated his honesty, sincerity and calm optimism. Michael Kaufman is an outstanding and very knowledgeable bankruptcy and foreclosure attorney. He answered all my questions promptly, instilled a tremendous amount of confidence in me during a time of need, ensured that I dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's to meet all the requirements of the process, made sure that I was completely prepared and honest in my submissions and helped me to be at ease during a time of great stress. First Class Service 7/26/2011

My personal experience with Michael Kaufman has been nothing less than exceptional. The personal attention that I received was second to none. My calls were always answered on a timely basis and all of my concerns were always addressed. In very trying times it was extremely comforting to know that I had Mr Kaufman in my corner. I highly recommend him as an attorney and would definitely use his services again if needed. more

BEWARE!!! 7/16/2011

BEWARE!!! This guy is as hapless and incompetent a lawyer as I have ever seen. First off, I hired this joker to handle a relatively simple Chapter 13 case for me. All I basically had was a car with a little too much equity in it to keep it safe in a Chapter 7. He barely knew what he was doing. First off, he let several of the creditors muscle him, basically just giving in to all of their demands, not showing any backbone. Next, this weak weasel was essentially "bullied" by the case Trustee. She ridiculed him relentlessly at our hearing for being unprepared and for not seeming to know what he was doing. My case only survived I think because she took pity on me for having such a useless and incompetent lawyer! He is nothing more than just a jackass with no idea how to handle himself professionally, or otherwise for that matter. This guy is basically a fool passing himself off as an attorney. Do yourself a BIG FAVOR and STAY AWAY from this goofball.... more

Unprofessional & a Waste of time and money!! 6/16/2011

Unprofessional & a waste of time and money. From the beginning we had issues with them. The receptionist was more into her personal life than helping clients. The lawyer would cancel our appointments and reschedule to his liking and then be late. The lawyer was not present for key parts of our case especially when we went to court. His assistant was quick to remind us the cost of there services but hesitant to give us a straight forward concrete answer to our questions. It was painful to e-mail them questions because our lawyer was always out, vacation, and would get back to us a minimum of 3 weeks later. Terrible and a complete waste of time and money! more

Very Helpful 6/2/2010

Mr. Kaufman was very helpful reviewing our financial records & helping my wife & I decide that bankruptcy would actually help us in the long run. We had tremendous financial difficulty that built up over the years, things just kept piling up and we really didn't know what to do anymore. We were unsure about filing for bankruptcy, but the plan that Mr. Kaufman worked for us has made a difference. Everything was handled quickly and we have been sleeping well. It's amazing. more
