Meyer's Castle gets nothing short of an A+ on my personal report card. I had my wedding reception there. Please note: I consider myself a rather picky, high maintenance, perfectionist. Meyer's was able to swing anything I threw at them. My reception had elaborate hanging decor, velvety blue table cloths (all to match my theme of ""stars"")...I even had a lit, intricately engraved, ice sculpture/luge out on the patio bar! more

I have been going to Meyer's Castle since it opened nearly 8 years ago and have always had a wonderful experience. Once in awhile it is nice to take the drive into Chicago, but other days, you just want a good meal in a convenient location. The Castle is that. Wonderful steaks served on swords, and an excellent ala carte menu make this one of my favorites! more

I went to a reception at Meyer's Castle and I have to say it was pretty impressive! The castle itself was gorgeous! Secluded and beautiful grounds gives it a very regal ambiance. The food and drinks were great! more

My wedding was made possible by the most glorious wedding coordinator ever, Mrs. Brenda Chodor. I communicated anything and everything to her...even down to my little personal wedding woes. She took me under her wing like one of her own daughters. (You can never have too much support when wedding planning!) Brenda worked diligently with me, my mom, and my future husband to make my wedding the most extravagant and most memorable day of my life (thus far). Even now (months later), all of my friends and family are still talking about my beautiful hall, the amazing food, and the overall excellent experience. more

5 Stars! This place is simply amazing.. We came in last Saturday for our friends birthday party. Even though it was busy, we were shown quickly to our table by the hostess. First we had dinner in the steakhouse, then afterwards decided to go down to their lounge. The steaks were delicious. The service was great.. with servers bringing swords of dif cuts of meats and constantly checking on our table. From where we were sitting we could see a good portion of the grounds,and noticed that they even had peacocks walking around.. Very neat! It was slightly annoying to have the bathrooms located downstairs but I guess that can be overlooked in an old historic property such as Meyers Castle. The architectural detail was awesome.. This place does have it all.. Not even in Chicago can you eat this good and have a beautiful castle for a backdrop! Finishing dinner we headed for the lounge to have a couple drinks and head home.. or so was the plan. I would have never thought this place to be as cool as it was.. The lounge part of the castle was like an old prohibition speakeasy meets modern bottle service club with lots of carved wood ,stone and granite merged with modern sound and lighting! Its not like your typical mall bar / sports bar that you'll usually find in Indiana.. We ended up staying most of the night and ordering a bottle. The crowd was cool and the place was packed, smoke free!!! Prices were fair, we paid around $120 for a bottle of Absolut.. Try that in the city without spending over $300 per bottle... The service in the lounge was good, they brought us our bottle with a sparkler just like they do in trendy downtown clubs, nice touch for Indiana. My friend had a blast and we definitely will be going back, this is one of NWI's best kept secrets. Highly recommend this gem!! more

We had our wedding reception at Meyer's Castle this past August and it was fabulous! There is not one thing I would have changed or done differently. The day and event was truly a dream come true for us. We had the best wedding planner in the business, Brenda Chodor. Brenda made the entire planning process fun and stress-free. She is as professional and sweet as they come. The Castle is an amazing setting for the most special day of our lives and the owners of the Castle made sure it was perfect. Throughout the year of planning until the wedding day, Brenda took care of us. She treated my husband and I with respect and was very gracious. She was even patient with both of my parents who were involved every step of the way. The location, food and cake were unbelievable. The flowers were stunning and the florist, Lisa Faye Greeson is truly talented. The day of the wedding was the best day of my life and Brenda at Meyer's Castle made sure it was picture perfect. We want to thank everyone at Meyer's Castle for their kindness and hospitality including Brenda, Lisa, Eric, Elizabeth and all of the staff. Meyer's Castle was magical! more

Our Wedding Experience at Meyers Castle was nothing short of Amazing! We were Married Sept 2010. I had the pleasure of working with my Wedding Planner Jeffery Kulzer. It is evident that Jeff has a true passion and love for what he does. His Experience and Effeciency made for a smooth calm experience. He took the vision I had and in addition made creative suggestions that together created an unforgettable experience for me and my guests. Jeff went above and beyond to make our Wedding Experience Flawless. The food was wonderful! Our photographer John Zembillas was in heaven with the endless photo oppertunies. The stone sturctures, stairways, landings, arches, gazebo and lavish furnishings made for ashtonishing photography. The staff made sure while we were dancing away that my grandparents who spent most of the time seated in conversation were well tended to, my grandparents were very impressed, as was I with the service. My planner Jeff Kulzer tended to my every need to assure that Rob and I had the best possible Wedding Experience, and we did!!!!! more

Attended Easter Brunch on 4/8 with my family. Food was mediocre. Cold at best. Very limited selection for ""Brunch"".Beverages were not included in the price. Staff was untrained and unorganized. Omelette bar was a joke. Young kids who had no idea how to prepare. Bathrooms are very dim and outdated. Dirty toilet bowls. Windows were also dirty. Grounds are very beautiful but does certainly does not make up for the inside. Lots of room for improvement. I would not return. I cannot believe they book weddings here....yikes! more

We would just like to thank Meyer's Castle and their whole staff for making our wedding so beautiful!!!! Everyone worked so hard all night long to make sure that i turned out perfect for us!! The grounds were perfect!! The florist Lisa Faye did an amazing job with our centerpieces and my bouquet as well as the rest of the bridal party!! We were so blessed to be able to have Brenda Chodor as our wedding coordinator!! She was amazing and because of her we didn't have a care in the world. She was on top of everything. The whole night ran smoothly and she took care of everything and everybody's needs!! Thank you Brenda. You are truly a friend of the family now!!!!!!!! with much love, the kuipers more
