Wrong prescription - twice! 1/19/2011

Had an eye examination a few days ago and just didn't feel right about the prescription as it was completely different from any other prescription I've ever had (I've had glasses since I was 10). I was told the doctor was new and that they would schedule we with a different doctor. The lady at the front desk was very professional and set everything up. The second examination was ""rush in, rush out"". The doctor didn't seem concerned that I wasn't comfortable with the diagnosis and wrote me 2 different prescriptions so I could ""try the one that works best"". I went to Lenscrafters to fulfill the prescription, had to call Abba to get them to release a hold on my insurance (a serious pain), and now after having these glasses for almost a week, I can tell you that the prescription is still wrong. I'll be calling them later today to get them to refund my insurance so I can have a real doctor do my examination. Aside from Melissa at the front desk I am highly disappointed with this company. NOT RECOMMENDED more

Mislead and Overcharged 12/15/2009

I ordered my contacts the same day as my appointment. I then went by Costco and found the exact same contacts for $90 less. I went back and asked to cancel my order (they had not come in yet) and they guy said to bring in the advertisement and they would refund the difference. I did as instructed and now the regional manager, Mary, who oversees all ABBA Eye Care stores said that I had to bring in the advertisment when I ordered them. Why would I have ever ordered from them if I found it cheaper BEFORE I went in? Needless to say, I am back to finding a new optometrist and I am out $90. Pros: Optometrist was great Cons: Expensive and misleading more
