We had a great experience with Metro RV. They had a very nice selection. They were very patient and non-pushy. They were truly great. The best part about them is their customer service before and after the purchase. Ray is a great person. He was extremely helpful. He is an absolutely great guy. Danny is amazing. He helped me with any issue that was found. They even drove over an hour to my house after the purchase to help me with a small issue. I highly recommend Metro RV for your next RV purchase or RV service. more

I had been shopping for an RV/Travel Trailer for quite a few months. I had gone back to Metro RV due to the quality of their inventory/presentation of the units by Alfonso. After shopping around at other dealers . . I had finally found the perfect Travel Trailer for our family. Alfonso had gladly showed me all their available units (not only once, but some of them twice) and he not once acted like I was troubling him ""as some of the other dealers had done"". He took the time to address all the questions I had. Alfonso had made every effort to ensure our complete satisfaction. I also needed special financing arrangements, which Ray had handled effortlessly. He told me exactly what he needed from me barring my unique financial scenario and had my new trailer financed immediately. He knew exactly who would finance my purchase without creating additional inquires on my credit report (Thank you Ray!!!). I/we are so happy with our new Travel Trailer . . . The entire Metro RV team had made our purchase so special to us. We were treated like we were the the most important people around! Thank you Metro RV . . . for treating us like we were the most important people to you ever and going out of your way to accommodate us in every way you had and for meeting all of our RV needs. more

Stellar Customer Service 7/22/2011

Having just purchased a 35' foot Fleetwood RV from Metro RV, we were delighted with the entire process and felt, upon looking at the other reviews listed here, that we needed to add our experience and help create some fair balance. As first-time buyers, we did a great deal of due diligience on a purchase of this magnitude, including going to RV shows and multiple visits to other RV dealers. We kept coming back to Metro RV. Why? For starters, we found their sales staff to be friendly and accomodating. Our thanks go to Alphonso, who was very patient with us: answering our every-growing list of questions and letting us ""tour"" rig upon rig; looking for the perfect set-up that met our needs. When discussing price, we found Ray to be a fair and friendly negotiator; all parties felt a decent deal had been reached. And finally, we received incredible service when we took delivery of our rig. Danny made certain that every request we had was addressed. The staff spent a great deal of time reviewing every part of the vehicle with us and provided us with cell numbers in the event we had trouble. After our first weekend ""dry camping"" in our yard, we received a ""check in"" call to see how things went and if we had any questions. In our book, this is called ""stellar customer service."" We are only too happy to recomend Metro RV to our friends and family. more

Don't go to Metro RV, Burbank 10/1/2010

March ‘10 we purchased a 2006, Gulf Stream Ultra C from RV Metro. We traded in our weekend warrior which was written into the contract as RV Metro was to pay off the remaining loan. I sent a check, (#2262) to pay off the $865 over the agreed upon amount that was due on our loan $21,865.00. The check was received on March 21st and cashed on March 23rd. Clearly marked and agreed upon to be the final payment on the Weekend Warrior we traded in. No money was sent to USBank. April 3rd, I called our extended warranty company to let them know we were no longer the owners of the camper/loan and would like our refunded amount. I was told that I need to have a letter from the loan company stating that the loan was paid off in full. April 3rd, 2010, I called to confirm that the full loan of $21,865.08 was cleared and paid off and the account closed, at that time I was informed by USBank that no payment had been made and we were actually late with the April payment. I called and spoke with Ray, who informed me that he was waiting for Essex to send them a check to pay off the USBank loan, he would receive that the following day and payoff our loan. I called Essex and found out that a check would arrive the next morning via fed ex. I called and confirmed the next morning that Ray did receive the check and he told me that it could take up to 10 days to pay off the loan. Extended Warranty Issues: April 5, 2010 ~ we came across a posting regarding an extended warranty not being submitted and paid by RV Metro. I called the # on our copy of the new extended warranty and was told that nothing had been received, but to give it one full month from date of purchase (mid March). So I called a few more time until the end of April and was told that still nothing was turned in. I called and was directed to Lynn, who assured me that the extended warranty was not only sent in, but paid in full. So, another # for me to call weekly along with USBank and Metro RV. Had I not called every few days to all three #'s, our Extended Warranty would never have been paid. Which did not take place until mid June, after I threatened to start this process. April 13th, I called USBank and was told that no, not a single cent has been applied to the account as payment since my last payment in March. A late fee of $11.90 had been applied to the account. I then called Ray at Metro RV, and was told by him and Lynn or Linda, that a payment would be made today in the amount of $300 to keep the account in good standing, cannot be considered in good standing, if a late fee is attached. April 26th, I called Metro RV, during this conversation, he told me that the loan again would be paid off with in the next 10 - 14 days. I did not hear back from anyone, so I had to call back again. When I did, I was rudely dealt with by Lynn, who told me that I have nothing to worry about, they made a $300 payment, the loan is fine and will be paid off in the next 10 days..... I have had to call almost weekly for the first few months, and for sure when a payment was due, to remind them make a payment. I am done. It is September 30, 2010. RV Metro, Figure it out. PS, whomever they sold our Weekend Warrior to is probably looking for the pink slip, and since the loan is still in my name, US Bank is not going to release it to them. more

Warranty ripoffs & breach of contract 12/2/2009

purchased a motor home in Sept 08 and paid $2310 for a service agreement for 3 yrs 36000 miles, In June 09 had to take it in for repairs and when the Service agreement company was contacted they did not have payment from metro or a repair contract to cover our items. Metro cut a check directly for the small amount to cover that incident and said the warranty item would be taken care of. The generator failed shortly after that and again the company said we did not have a contract. After numerous attempts to get this resolved a complaint was then filed and a small claims action started which has not ended as of Nov 09. Metro attempted to resolve with another Service agreement but has not paid for it or gotten a binder on it either as of Dec 09. Instead they are attempting to get out of the resolution with claiming bankruptcy filing in Dec 08 means they do not have to pay or refund this money. How many other Warranty monies have not been paid or kept by Metro can only be found out as others come forward or check before the warranty expires on their unit or complain and get on the record if they have a repair issue. This is purely a dishonest practice that any honest company would fix without fail. I would go to someone else for purchase of such a valuable item and check them out beforehand for complaints. Let the buyer beware. Cons: pocketed warranty payment more

Do not Rent an RV from Metro RV 10/13/2009

What a disaster! Save your time and money, go elsewhere!! Here's my story so you can avoid getting the same treatment. Found them through an internet booking company. Was a gr8 price for Burning Man festival. Came to collect and the driver's air conditioning didn't work, wait or go? driving through the desert without air conditioning was a bad idea!! During the RV check the fridge door fell off, they used a piece of wire to fix it. Didn't close properly, food never cooled, less shelf life! The outside was still dirty. We were on a mission and couldn't wait around for 2 days to get it all fixed. Try finding a replacement RV anywhere on the west coast the day before Burning Man starts! also lose your entire fee. Trapped! They take full payment 30 days before the booking and you lose it if you cancel!! yikes. i was double charged the pre-paid $250 cleaning fee between the internet company (who transferred fee to MetroRV) and Metro RV, which took about 20 emails and 4 calls for Metro to finally agree to pay back. Amazingly nothing else broke down on the trip, with the exception of the main door lock hinge, so we couldn't lock the RV. Joy! And the spare key being bent and therefore useless. Upon return there was a small (size of a quarter) scratch from a bike handle on the rack at the rear of the RV. Metro provide a quote from their own service dept of $359 including 2hrs at $120 /hr. As if the service guys are making more than $20hr. Rip off, and i was refused a 2nd quote from an independent provider. Note it is just under most insurance deductible amounts so that they don't have to deal with an insurance company! Finally, 'le piece de resistance' of my DISertation! Metro RV state return of the $1000 bond within 15 business days. I called the accounts department after 18 business days and nothing done, told they will process today but it may take 3-5 days to show up on the card. 5 business days later i check and sure enough no refund. Call them again and told "i'll call you back in an hour", no call back. Call again in the afternoon and the accounts person is at lunch, but the customer service person says she will do it, and i should relax and not worry about it. Get the sense i'm getting the run around. Here's a little diatribe of the conversation with the accounts dept. Called the next day at midday and told that it was processed an hour ago but it won't show up on your statement for 2-3days. Can you send me a confirmation, Sorry i don't have an email service. Their customer service department does. So now i wait to see if it actually comes through. Why wasn't it done a week ago when you said you would run it then? Because their policy is to only return deposits to a set amount of what's left in their bank account, once it hits that limit the unpaid returns wait till the following week. The use it to cash flow their dodgy business. Ahhah! improper practice under fair trading, a breach of their lengthy rental agreement, no recourse for the customer but to be expected in this economy. Over and above the issues outlined, the customer service was dreadful, i felt like i had to earn the right to be a customer, anything i asked for was a hassle or met with resistance. The product quality for the money paid was poor. If your thinking of using Metro RV best avoid as it'll likely end up costing you more in time, stress and $'s than the bargain you were hoping for. If you are thinking of renting from Metro RV then think again, because it will end up costing you more in time and $'s than you bargained for. Pros: Zero Cons: Thieves, Rude and agressive more
