Metro, the mega-giant tri-county agency sells stuff! I didn't know that ! What it sells is amazing.... instead of pouring our landfills and dumps with pretty colors that end up clogging the earth, they take out the impurities, clean it up, make into a new pretty color, and sell it to the public at less than the cost of name-brand paint. They can even texturize it for floors and boats and the like or they can make it what ever color you ask for just a wee bit more.
Where do they get the paint? Every few weeks, Metro arranges for FREE drop offs of old paint cans. I dropped some off at a local high school last fall. Watch for drop off sites on the news or newspapers.
This is a great way to save the earth while keeping the cement jungle beautiful!
