YUMMY fondue. Attentive servers, private and cheerful atmosphere! 8/12/2008

I have been to the Melting Pawt (what, I can't type out the whole word? Stupid PC police) twice and both experiences were wonderful. I'm not sure how anyone could complain that the portions are too small - we were both entirely STUFFED on both visits, and we had to take home our cooked food leftovers. In fact, I often tell people to only get cheese and chocolate, not a dinner, or they're going to get way too much food. The service you receive, and the way you're allowed to take your time (you can't rush and finish all the courses) make dinner at the Melting Pawt a special occasion. The slower pace will cause you to feel almost too full (if you eat it all!) The last time I went was on my birthday, and it was so romantic, and a really great 2 hours (if not longer)! I hope to go back for my next special occasion. I definitely recommend this place for dates, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I noticed that someone said ""don't bring the kiddos,"" but the last time I was there, some children were there for a birthday party. Seems to be a very family-friendly place. Even with lots of people there, the booths are almost like private rooms. The food is amazing - dessert is my favorite. more

Worst dining experience I have ever had. 7/21/2008

The cost was outrageous for the quality of all courses and the quantity of the main course. The cheese fondue was tasteless; we sent our salads back; the meat was tough and chewy (no, it was not our inablility to cook it); the cheesecake on the dessert dish tasted as if it had been thawed, allowed to spoil and refrozen. We were with a large group, and in this case you are very limited on choices (2 choices for 8 people); if we had not been with this group, we would have left once we tasted the main course (without paying). The ""meal for one"" fed 1/2 a person and the ""meal for two"" fed 1 person. At the 11th hour, we were told we could not take any raw meat out of the restaurant. I had hoped to salvage some of the money we were wasting on this meal by taking it home and attempting to dress it up a bit. Do your wallet and your taste buds a favor and steer clear of this place. On a scale of 1-5, I give this a minus 5. Cons: the whole experience more

Most romantic special event restaurant in Tulsa 4/18/2008

Simply the most fun and best food anywhere in Tulsa. The ""Fondue Experiance"" does take some time, but it is the perfect place to enjoy a special night.\r \r While the prices are on the higher end it realy is a value when you consider what you get for your money,\r \r With a longer experiance, the service is amazing. You never get the kind of attention any where else in town.\r \r Reservations are certianly a good idea because they are so busy, especialy on weekends and holidays. It's so nice to be able to just come in and get a seat even when they are clealy very busy. \r \r Over all....5 stars!! Great food, friendly service, fun dinning, romantic atmospher. THE BEST! Pros: Perfect place for special events. Cons: I wouldn't bring the kids. more
