Mellow Mushroom

I was the bus driver for a group of seniors and several of us went to this location for dinner. We ordered and ask the waiter to make sure to cut it for the amount of people we had. It came out wrong only in the number of slices. They must have apoligized 20 times and Adam Brown the manager came out and was so pleasant and treated us to desert. we will be back when we are in that area. again so nice to us especially being seniors. the pizza was great!!!! more

Mellow Mushroom is my favorite pizza restaurant in the Chattanooga area. It is housed in the historic original Coca-Cola Bottling plant, and has Coke memorabilia on display. It also features whimsical murals with an Alice is Wonderland theme. Mellow Mushroom is a family oriented restaurant that offer salads, sub sandwiches, and calzone, in addition to gourmet pizzas. My personal favorite is the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. They also have a great selection of beers. The prices range from around $4.99 to $15.99. The restaurant also offers a great combination of pizza and a movie for $25.00 at the Bijou theater next door. It's a good idea to arrive early, especially during special events, since this restaurant can get busy very fast. The service, is quick and friendly if you can beat the crowds. Conveniently located downtown, a short stroll from the Tennessee Aquarium, Mellow Mushroom is a great place for tourist to visit. It has a fun, festive, family atmosphere and great food! more

The Mellow Mushroom is a great place to get some really good pizza. The atmosphere is very lively here and it is usually full of a good mix of families, college kids, and adults. The only drawback to that is that it can get quite noisy. There is ample seating and they have these great booths that will seat 4-5 people on each side, allowing for a decent sized group to have a bit of privacy during dinner. The food is really good here too. Pizzas are hand tossed and you can choose from one of their gourmet pizzas or pick what you'd like on it yourself. They also have really good sandwiches here and you have your choice of white or wheat bread. The only thing I don't like about the menu is that they have very limited appetizers - basically cheese bread or garlic bread and you don't really need those if you're ordering a pizza. Pizzas are great though and it's a fun restaurant. more
