Devin came to my home for a winter furnace check up. He was thorough, and answered all my questions (there were many). In addition, one of my smoke detectors had a bad battery and was bleating. I was unable to change it as I don't have a ladder that high, but Devin kindly did it for me! Thanks! more

Bob did an annual inspection of our air conditioner. He cleaned the unit and changed the filter and set us up for the summer weather. During the visit, he was professional and polite and in addition explained some upgrades that were available in the event we had any interest. We were satisfied with his work and would recommend him and Comfort Solutions for any hvac needs. more

Work on my weil mclain home boiler 4/5/2019

My home gas bill recently increased significantly compared to previous winters. Technician quickly identified the problem and explained it to me. He ordered a needed part and returned to install it the following day. He fully explained why the efficiency went down over time and we discussed how to prevent future efficiency declines. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently. Clean up was very good. While working on the boiler, I asked various questions about proper operation of the heating system and those questions were completely answered and the technician offered useful suggestions. I was completely satisfied with the work that was done. Time will tell if my natural gas consumption will return to historical averages. I did enroll in the continuing PM maintain program offered by Armstrong/ McDonald. If past efficiency does not return, I will contact Armstrong for additional review. in closing, we were very satisfied with the service we received from Bob P more

Fantastic Service 8/31/2017

I needed to have a ductless AC installed for an area of my home that has no AC. My family was going to be visiting and our guest room was ~83 F, so I wanted to get that rectified ahead of their arrival. We planned their visit 9 days before they were to arrive. I called McDonald Plumbing and Heating (aka Pittsburgh Ductless) and asked if they could come out and give me a quote for an installation. Aaron B setup his soonest available time to look at the room. The installation crew arrived a little later and had the install done in a few hours. The new ductless unit (by Mitsubishi) works very well and my family was thrilled to have a comfortable room in which to stay. The installation is much cleaner than the other ductless unit that was previously installed and overall looks very professional. There are no dangling cords or exposed wires. Overall I'm very pleased with their work and professionalism. more

I had a great experience with McDonald Plumbing and Heating. I had an alarm going off in my basement. Finally, got it unplugged. Was told I needed a plumber ASAP. I was told to call McDonald's. I got the best service. Travis came out the following day. He was very polite and kind. He knew his job and is very professional. He got right to work checking out the issues an going for parts to fix the problem. I am in a wheel chair, I felt Travis was a decent honest person. I will recommend McDonald Plumbing and Heating to anyone . Usually, I am very skeptical of everyone. more

Service Review 8/15/2016

Last year I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. I could not have asked for better service. Just recently I schedule a routine maintenance check-up for my air conditioner. I spoke with Brenda who was very polite and considerate of my time when scheduling my appointment. Steve, the tech was knowledgeable and polite. He answered any questions I had and explained the different plans to me. There was another tech with him (sorry I forgot his name) and he was also very polite and they both worked very well together. I like to see team work and high quality for the customer. I appreciate the professionalism I have always had with McDonald Plumbing. I would highly recommend your company to anyone. more

Furnace checkup 2/17/2016

We thought we should have our 9 year old Ruud furnace that had been installed by McDonalds checked out. Unit is working well and showed no sign of a problem. Josh did a complete and professional job, and is a very nice person. I would recommend him to anyone. Dick more

Bob p. Was thorough and exact in his explanations and followed through on all he promised. This is the most critical thing I look for credibility. I was satisfied with all he commented , suggested . Quality technician. Excellent job will request him for future needs. Good asset for McDonalds. more

Excellent service and quick! 1/7/2016

Our heater had an ignitor that had enough. Our heat was off and it was pretty chilly in the house (53 at one point). I called around 9am and was told Josh would be here a little after lunch. He was able to arrive at 10:30am and was quick to diagnose the problem. Parts were in his truck, and not only did he replace the ignitor, the furnace got a solid look over. I'm very pleased with the quick and great service, and will be using them again when something comes up! I'm now warm and toasty again more
