I first used McDonald Plumbing because I was dealing with an issue that my usual plumbing company said they could not take care of. When I called McDonald and explained my problem, they guaranteed that they could help me out and they sent out a plumber immediately. The plumber, Carlos, was courteous and respectful of the house and he made sure to explain everything that he was going to do before he started working. He then went right to work and he successfully got the job done without any issues. We will definitely use this service again if we have another plumbing issue. more

They have installed 4 units at our property and I have to say they are very good at what they do! My AC unit went out Saturday night, and I called the office (24/7). The answering service routed me to a technician who called me the next day. He was helpful in giving me an idea as to what broke and the potential solution. I called Monday morning for an appt, and they sent a technician in two hours! Joe gave me a courtesy call and walked me through the problem. He advised me that the cost of the repairs, coupled with the corrosion in the side of the AC unit, it is probably best to replace the unit, after discussing other options. After all, the repairs would be close to $1,000. The AC unit is 11 years old. Given the heavy corrosion on the sides, we agreed it is fiscally best to replace ... probably our previous dog urinated on the AC causing the corrosion. He also gave me options of replacing, and the best is to get a comparable unit (no need for higher SEER). Anyway, Joe was able to replace the unit on his own schedule, and he came back in two days! He did a thorough job in installing, testing, and making sure the furnace works together with the AC. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. So, if you call McDonald, ask for Joe! more

Very professional starting with the very first call to the office. They were able to schedule the work to be done in a timely manner and Carlos was very focused and methodical and didn't complain about anything....my house is older and he knew the correct way to do things even though previous DIY owners had gotten creative. Also, it was nice to have someone working in my home without being interrupted by his Cel Phone.....rare occurrence these days. I will continue to use this company for Heating/AC, water heater, etc. because I feel they will stand behind their work. more

Joe recommended an additional return duct which sucks the hot air from our family room from the plasma TV. Great idea! Plus we were able to go to a smaller tonnage unit as our home is so well insulated. Another great idea from McDonald! The installation went very smoothly and was easily completed in one day. The Trane products, installation and follow up service have been superb. more

When the city inspector came to inspect the installation of the new furnace he said " I never have to worry about the job that McDonald Plumbing and Heating does. They always do things the right way." I think that is the best review a business can get. more

I contacted this company becasue I had a clogged drain as well as a heating and Air problem. They were to come out between 2 and 4 for the plumming...but instead called at 8-9 and said they were ready to come out then...this was not convienent but i said ok my husband was at home. So Carlos came out and told my husband he needed to get paid 1st. And it was going to be $170....I asked how much to unclog a slow sink while he was there..that was an addional $160...So i said forget it..and he said its not even clogged..which I knew. He acted like he didn't want anything to do with it. The price was unreasonalble anyway..Carlos thinks he should make $330 an hour (really for 10 min minus the time he took demanding payment ahead of time) (Why does he thing he should collect payment prior to fixing anything) who does that?..took him 10 min to unclog the drain...so I had to figure out a way to get a check to him since we were not expecting him until 2:00 and I was at work. I then canceled my 2nd appointmet with the heating/air guy from their company (from 3-5:00). It is their loss because I am replacing the whole heat/air unit with another company. They must me doing so well they don't need the work so they can afford to treat their costomers badly as I called and spoke to the receptionist and told them Carlos wouldn't fix the drain until he got paid and they didn't seem to care but to top it off the price was $155 not $170 that Carlos quoted. I wanted him to leave but they hold you hostage and say either pay $89 or $170 as you have to pay the $89 just for them to come out and tell you the drain is cloged..which i told them in the 1st place. more
