May Grant Associates

I've been going to may grant for years and liked it at first. Recently the care has gotten HORRIBLE!! I was told throughout my whole pregnancy that at my 6 week follow up I could get my nexplanon put in. When I had my follow up appointment they said they never do that and that I was making it up. When I told them the different doctors that told me they didn't believe me. Every time I had an appointment I had to wait in the room for over a half hour before being seen without anyone letting me know that they were running behind. They double book appointments and make you make as many appointments as they can just toget money out of you. My sister who is a doctor had her yearly breast exam done, the doctor didn't do it right (just rubbed around for about a second) then told her she was fine. She found a lump the next day and called may grant to ask to get an ultrasound. They told her she would need a consult appointment with May grant and that there were no appointments for 6 weeks and then after that appointment they would have to set up an ultrasound appointment at the breast center that would be a few more weeks. Also I went there for an appointment during my pregnancy and was getting checked in by one of the ladies at the front desk. When I told her my name the lady across from her told me that I was late for my appointment (I was 20 minutes early) and that they cancelled it and I should be on time. After that the lady checking me in told me I was early and the other girl didn't know what she was talking about. This practice is so unorganized and when I talked to the practice manager about switching all she said was "good luck finding someone else who will give you better care!" They only care about quantity of care not quality of care. Some of the doctors and midwives are great but not worth all the trouble more

I went in for an ultrasound due to extreme lower abdominal pains only to find out that they couldn't find anything on the ultrasound that would be causing my pain. 1st off I had to call for my results, 2nd they weren't helpful in suggesting anything to relieve my pains like trying birth control again... NOTHING! I was just supposed to deal with it. The staff there are rude & uncaring! I'll never go back there again, and I'll be sure to tell all of my friends and family to go elsewhere! Very unprofessional! more

Went for an appointment and found out they had the wrong person scheduled.There are a few patients with the same name as me, the nurse laughed it off, but I could hear them in the hall saying various things about it. I have also been having various issues and was placed on 2 pills (not birthcontrol because I have negative reactions to it). I was told these meds would slow things down until we could get to the bottom of everything. 4 days in and the problem became the worse it's ever been. Called the dr to complain about the problem and severe pain. They told me I had to go through various other things before they'd be able to measure the issue that I was having. I have to work and can't do the various other things they "need" before they can see me again. Was told that if the problem became worse to go to the ER...so a couple of days later, I wound up at the ER. ER dr called MayGrant and had me double up on the pills and sent me home. I was bed ridden for 3 days afterwards. Called to schedule a followup appt and was asked why I hadn't called them...I did call and was told they couldn't measure things and that if it got worse, I should go to the ER. So I followed their instructions. Regardless, this practice has become out of control and no longer focuses on patient care. Just double up on the meds...I did research on the meds and called another dr only to find out that that med doesn't treat my symptoms. I'm going to another dr from now on. Also...since they scheduled the wrong person, Dr. Bradford, decided to tell me all about some of the things he treated another patient with my name for (and that he has her mother as a patient). So much for HIPAA. Sorry to the person with my same name, I now know about some of your problems. Please don't use this doctor's office. Seriously, find someone else that will take time to listen to you and explain things fully before sitting in front of you with their legs crossed and head propped up by their hand on the counter. Find someone who will actually care. more

I was seen on my due date by Dr Bradford. As a strong advocate of natural childbirth, I had been assured for months that this practice was open to and encouraging of natural childbirth. HA! What a joke! When the due date came I was told that my body was incapable of going into labor on its own. That I woul need to be induced an refusing to do so would be an inconvenience to Dr Bradford's "schedule". He then went on to brag about the number of csections he had completed the previous weekend and told us that I would have one if I did not agree to the induction. This verbal bashing was followed by an internal exam. As the nurse tried to put the lubrication jelly on his glove, He moved his hand and most of it fell to the floor. She asked him if she could put more on the glove and he laughed saying "I don't care. It doesn't effect me. She might care but I really don't". My tears did not change his arrogant, disrespectful attitude. more

I went in for a ultrasound early in the pregnancy to determine my due date. The ultrasound tech told me that there was no heart beat and that I miscarried and they would have to perform a dnc. Then a 1/2 hour later the doctor told me I could be pregnant and they might have misjudged my due date. They then put me out in the waiting room(with all the pregnant women) to draw labs only to keep me waiting there another 1/2 hour while I was hysterical. They had canceled my labs and had no communication skills. Apparently, no one had told the lab that I was indeed to get blood work. I was an emotional wreck, embarassed and extremely upset. I will never go there again. more

It's such a shame that the front desk staff ruins the great work done by the doctors and nurse practitioners. Making an appointment is always a painful process. The staff is quick to say they don't have any appointments even before they start looking at the computer. I was told they don't have an opening for 2 months. When you are checked in they review your info loud enough for the whole waiting room to hear. Your social security number, DOB, the reason for your visit, your job, and address. I was there every 2 weeks for 4 months and every 2 weeks I had to review the same information. This process was time consuming and invasive. It pains me to say because my doctor was so good but I will be finding a new practice because of the front desk staff. more

I went to May Grant and was very pleased; my Drs guided me through a very emotional time (miscarriage) and the care I received was excellent and personal. Nurses called me every few days to see how I was and when they called at about 1 week post MC and I was an emotional mess they stayed on phone and talked to me for nearly 1 hour. Care was very attentive and staff was informed, friendly and accessible. Excellent place to go! more

They make you feel very comfortable and are so nice. They are the best for deliveries and pregnancies. They listen to you and help you whenever you need it and it is very easy to get an appointment. The office is a very nice setting and the people are so friendly. It is located right next to the hospital so if you need any tests it's right there. The drs are great and I really trust there opinion. more
