We are Asian from the Philipiines, moved here from New York 2 years ago. We have been a long time New York residents and you will never experienced prejudice in other race there. They are more educated, more diverse state. We are both with a college degree and a very high paying job with a Fortune 500 company here in Phoenix. Anyway, my wife & I went downtown Phoenix yesterday 3/14/09 for good weekend stroll around the city. We got hungry and went to Matador Restaurant, We got sitted and waited for a long time but no server came to our table. After a while, two caucasians came in and got sitted next to our table. And the server approached the 2 caucasians and took their order before us. We felt humiliated and we decided to just walked out and leave the restaurant. We are finding out that Phoenix is a city of prejudice. That's not the only time we have a bad experience in a Phoenix restaurant. My wife's company along with their vendors went to Capital Grill in E Camelback and got ignored by the server too. They should not judge how people look. People don't know that we are a very generous tipper. I hope somebody will read and recognize this problem here in Phoenix.
Pros: Didn't get a chance to try their food
Cons: Waited a long time and got ignored
