The tobacco here is truly excellent, and the wait staff will take you through all of them, letting you sample and smell to your heart's content. At Marshall McGearty's, they have a ridiculously advanced, expensive (I was told) ventilation system; the air is completely circulated no less than every six minutes. It does not at ALL smell like smoke, and the environment is wonderful, homey and of course, full of hipsters who are full of themselves - but it is still really, really nice, and that's Wicker Park for you, anyway.
A pack of any of the fresh-tobacco cigarettes is only $8, and I don't know about you, but I've paid far more for quality cigarettes that weren't even fresh. If you'd like to take pride in your smoking, or enjoy it in a very nice environment that has an impressively stocked alcohol and coffee bar as well as gourmet food, then Marshall McGearty's is a must.
