Sub par crust 4/7/2010

I purchased a bunch of groupons for Mangia and have so far had 4 pizzas and a calzone. The pizza is OK, but the crust is not great. It is edible, but nothing special. As far as leftover pizza goes, that is where the crust really doesn't stand up. Also their free delivery area is not very big, so there is a delivery charge even in downtown. Now that I have used my groupons I don't think I will order from this place again. Pros: Delivery Cons: Abrupt phone interaction, bad crust more

Awful 2/8/2008

Mangia Neopolitan Pizza in Canton is just awful. Awful service, awful food and awful prices. I got a grilled checken salad they charged me 11.50 for and at first forgot to put chicken on it. As for the quality the chicken was wet, chewy and tasted a little bit past its prime. Cons: the Food more

Very Good Pizza...Lousy Service 10/14/2007

The pizza is good. Probably the best pizza in the South End (unfortunately for the South End, it is really not that bold of a statement). Pros: Pizza Cons: Service, No Seating, Parking more

Real new haven style pies!!! 4/20/2006

i am a connecticut native who has been looking for a pizzeria who is close to the pies I am used to in new haven(pepe's etc). I have eaten at a few of the other thin crust pizzeria's in boston but none were as thin and crispy as i get back home till we found mangia. but what we loved was the fact that they only use WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR for their pies. I think that adds to the crispness of the crust. god im glad i found them. We had the margarita with prosciutto and it was simply delicious! For me its all about the crust, and others claim to have it down . SORRY GUYS! mangia's got you! more

This is bostons best pizza!! Fantastic!! 2/5/2006

read the review in the globe and had to try it , i gotta tell you , we eat pizza all over the city and this is the best we have had yet. the sauce is perfect and the whole wheat crust makes you feel less guilty ,but is amazingly full of flavor. the mangia special is the pie for us , it was full of roni and sopressata, with a healthy portion of sweet roasted peppers. go check this place out!!! there a few options in the city for thin crust gourmet pizza but mangia has it over the rest....... love it. wish they had seats. its only to go. more

Tasty Pizza! 2/5/2006

This is a neat little pizza shop that just opened in the South End. They specialize in thin crust neopolitan style pizza, and do a great job with it. I had the margherita pizza, and the combination of spices used creates a very tasty and very unique pizza. I highly recommend this place if you want a reasonably priced, quality pizza in the South End. Pros: Quality, Friendly service, Value Cons: No seating more

Great Italian Sandwich 5/3/2005

Mangia is a great hidden jewel for anyone looking for a freshly made Italian sandwich. Although the menu is limited, you will not be disappointed with any of there selections. Mangia also offers pizza by the slice or go for the pies. The slices are thin and do not lack in italian spices for flavoring. The atmosphere is always clean, and there are a few tables for those who cannot make it home. Pros: Fresh Ingrediants, Location Cons: Lack of Variety more
