Mancini, Rachel C, Od - Pearle Vision

I had my first visit to Dr.Mancini yesterday and was very favorably impressed. She was professional, thorough, personable and courteous. She took her time and did a very through eye exam.She provided clear explanations and answered all my questions. She made good recommendations. She did do a dilated eye exam. I hesitated about visiting her based on the first review. However the office was on my route and they were able to get me in that day.The opticians and staff in the office are friendly and easy to work with. I will be using her from know on. more

I get an eye exam only once a year. I want it to be thorough for obvious reasons. When i was with this Optometrist i got this feeling that she had better things to do than the job at hand. She suggested that since i was not having any problems with my vision she would not dilate my pupil. Dilating the pupil is an important part of a thorough eye exam. She went through the motions with great speed and in 5 minutes i was handed my prescription.\r Anyways this is not even the problem. I wore my new glasses for a couple of days. I was having eye strain so i called and went to the shop. And then the 'shocker'. She would not make eye contact with me. i had to communicate with her through an intermediary. I have never seen someone do their job so unprofessionally. Pros: Save time on the eye exam. Mine lasted 5 minutes! Cons: High likelyhood of Inaccurate Prescription. more
