Mainsail Restaurant

My husband and I got married in North Topsail Beach, NC in June 2010. We were recommend Mainsail restaurant for our catering. When I first spoke to Michael the co-owner of the restaurant we were on the phone for 45 minutes. He listened to me and answered all my questions. We scheduled an appointment to sample the food. We loved everything they had prepared for us. Excellent food! Throughout the time I was planning our wedding Michael was helpful with any questions we had. The price for catering offsite with servers was within our budget and very reasonable. Throughout the wedding Michael was there assisting us in any way possible. The servers were professionals and did a fantastic job. Michael also assisted us with our rehearsal dinner catering. He had his chief prepare an Italian Style menu for us, which is not part of their menu. The food was amazing! We got so many compliments for the wonderful food and service we had on the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day. I cannot say enough to express how professional Michael was during the process. Every time we go back to Topsail we will stop by to eat at Mainsail. Thank you Michael for everything! more

Our family of five just got back from the restaurant and had the following meals. Mozzarella cheese sticks-how can you mess those up, Margarita shrimp-very good, calamari and shrimp with buffalo sauce-calamari was fair, shrimp was good, House salad-plain salad, nothing special, Hamburger-my son said it tasted good, Sesame-Soy glazed tuna-daughter said it was awesome, chipotle chicken-wife said perfectly seasoned and tasted great, Mahi Mahi with Mediterrainean salsa-I enjoyed it, good. The waiter did a very good job, was friendly, never an empty glass and was patient. All-in-all, I'd go there again. Pros: Service, atmosphere, food Cons: House salad plain more
