I dropped the car off, picked it up, and it was fine! 6/20/2011

My girlfriend's car had a bent rim. Magnum Automotive was actually the cheapest in fixing it. I just dropped it off, came back to pick it up, and it was fine. I received a couple of courtesy calls and messages too. I do need to call them back and get the car back in there to have one of the wheels re-balanced because it was shaking as I drove it on the interstate, but other than that it is fine. I wouldn't take any of our vehicles to anyone but Magnum. I've lived in Prarie City for 17 years and until a year ago, never had a mechanic in the area I felt I could trust. Magnum is the one we trust. They are honest, dependable, up-front about charges and about what must be done and what can wait. Best of all, I never have surprises when I pick up my vehicle and pay my bill. more

I've been going to Magnum Automotive for many years now. They always provide excellent service and I'm always recommending them! An example of why I keep going back is when the transmission went out on my '94 Ford 250 pickup, we couldn't get another one, nobody made them anymore. I mean the body was good, the motor was good, I just needed a new transmission. Well, they found a guy in Florida who could fix it! I couldn't believe they went to all that trouble to track this guy down for me! We sent it to him and he fixed it, it took a long time, but it was worth it and I have my truck again! I continue to go there because they provide a don't worry service for me that you just can't get anywhere else. I know they'll be honest, friendly and professional. more

ALL staff I feel have provided excellent professional service. Everybody has been respectful and professional. The work done on few of my cars have been taken care of and fixed right the 1st time. Fairly new customer that might be a future long term customer. Keep up the great service Thank You more

Great service and Great prices 2/28/2011

I just bought a set of tires at a great price and then had the front end aligned by a knowledgeable mechanic who pointed out problems that needed repair. They will get my business again more

I would highly recommend Magnum Automotive to anybody. My son started out having them work on his car when he lived in Prairie City. I was going to a different automotive shop, and I wasn't really satisfied, so my son referred me to Magnum. I started going to them. My son is a diesel mechanic, and he now lives in Wisconsin. Anytime I have a problem Magnum Automotive is willing to talk to my son before they work on my car. That way I can be reassured that there is actually a problem with it. I have been using them now for 5 or 6 years, and I wouldn't take my car to any other place. If you want work done, and done right, they are the place to go. They are fair, honest, and I think they are one of the best places to take your car. more

Don't go anywhere else!!! 12/21/2010

The valve stem on my tire broke off at the caseys here in Newton and my tire went completely flat, I was in terrible shape, my mother in law was in the ICU in Des Moines and I needed to get to the hospital. I called Magnum and they wasted no time getting to Caseys, taking the tire off, taking the tire to the shop and fixing it up, they brought the tire back and got me back on the road within 1 hour. We as a community are truly blessed to have a company in town that cares about their customers. Magnum and the employees ROCK!!! more

Very trustworthy...they keep my car on the road! 12/11/2010

Since we moved here in February, we haven't been anywhere but Magnum for all of the service needed on our vehicles. Being new to town, I had no idea where to take our cars and didn't know anyone here to ask. I found a few listings in the phone book and called each and every one. The customer service over the phone is what brought us in the door, and the service from the shop is what keeps us coming back. Keep up the good work! more

Excellent Service 11/18/2010

Since I commute 500+ miles per week, I only trust my car to be serviced by Magnum. The guidance I receive from Paul, Jim, Robin and Ryan is always exceptional. For example, I was going in every 6 weeks for oil changes due to mileage; but was encouraged to change oil and start getting oil changes every 6,000 miles. It saves me money and time! Ive purchased 2 sets of tires from Magnum and was given different options so I could control my own spending. I highly recommend Magnum Automotive to everyone . . . especially automotive-challenged females! more

EXCELLENT! 11/10/2010

Very satisfied. Very competitive on price. Work done on time and when promised. Other competitors never returned call(s)when trying to locate tires, Magnum Automotive found the tires we wanted and called us back in two days, and had the tires in three days. Knowledgeable and friendly staff! 11/9/2010

I have been a loyal customer for over three years. I have bought 2 sets of tires, had an exhaust installed and several oil changes. Paul gives you several options when choosing tires to accomodate all price ranges. I drive in from Marshalltown because I can trust their work. more
