I have no idea what happened to this place. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the Bear, so I was so excited to come here. The wait was short and the service was friendly but they got my order 100% incorrect. I ordered a Bear burger, no tomatoes, pickles on the side, add avocado. Instead I got a Bear burger, with tomatoes and pickles, no avocado. And to top it off, the meat looked like those prepackeged, frozen patties. I am disappointed! Pros: Cool atmosphere, fast service Cons: Bad service, poor quality more

Good food, cool atmosphere, and nice bar tenders. There is never a cover and this is the Chico State College hangout on Thursday and Saturday nights. Pros: College crowd, No Cover.. ever Cons: College crowd more

This is my favorite bar in Chico. It has good food during the day and consistent drink specials in the evenings. Also, if you have the munchies while having a couple beers they have a decent late night menu as well....it was better before they took the chicken fingers away :( Pros: Great for lunch and nightlife Cons: Can get crowded more

Great spot to grab a burger and a beer in the afternoon and to go dancing at night 11/20/2006

One of my favorite night spots in Chico. Never a cover and always a great time. The food is great during the day (and at night), however, on Saturday nights this is by far the best place to go dancing, hang out on the huge patio, or drink at one of the four bars on the grounds. Fun atmosphere and always a mixed crowd. Pros: food, drinks, dancing, no cover Cons: sometimes a long wait to get in more
