Federated bought out both Lazarus and Kaufmanns and left us with only Macy's. There was the time when this name was well known among middle/high end department stores. No longer. It is nothing but a shopping cart store. I can go to the other shopping cart stores and find the same merchandise.
It's the Christmas season and not one check out counter has boxes. After waiting in line at the gift wrap on the first floor, only to be given a hat sized box for a bulky coat. Really? Even Penney's has boxes.
I'll be shopping at Nordstrom's in the North Hills from now on. Now there's a company that knows how to treat a customer.
