Groomer Lora Abusive 4/10/2015

I took my golden to this place. The groomer named Lora was verbally abusive to me when I talked to her at drop off. She said her name was Lora, she smelled of Body Order real bad and the business smelled bad for the doggie daycare.\r \r I picked up my dog, her front leg had a bandage on it. I asked what happened and she said she cut the dog on accident. When I got home with my dog the bandage was soaked through with BLOOD, I immediately took my dog to the vet. My regular dogs vet had to use 12 stitches to close the wound. \r \r Don't go here, if you do don't have Lora groom your dog.\r \r Thanks for reading. more

Unsanitary? Unsafe? Horrendous smell 1/16/2012

I have utilized this business 2x over the past year - for their self dog wash. I give it two stars - only because I can vouch for the dog wash - it is clean, good tubs, decent shampoos. It is pricier than other places I have used - but when in Sandy, options are limited. WHAT IS NOT ok with this business is the horrendous smell. The "turf"in the dog play area is saturated and the place really has a strong urine odor. They claim it is state of the art. That it may be - but it also cannot be sanitary for animals. When I mentioned this to the proprietor, I was rudely brushed off and heard how fabulous the facility was. I will not be a repeat customer. more

We visited Mt Hood Pet Resort because 12/26/2011

We visited Mt Hood Pet Resort because or normal spot was closed after Christmas. This will be our first and last visit to the pet resort. When we first walked in we had to wait for Trina to come out of the back to help us, upon entering there was also a very strong scent of urine that was overwhelming. Pros: null Cons: null more

Smell is horrendous, owner somewhat rude and prices too high 7/19/2011

I have gone in several times, only because it is the only self dog wash, but if it weren't, I definetly would not go in after the first time. Everytime I go in the owner seems to be annoyed by my questions, and anytime I take more than around 30 min for my wash she ALWAYS makes a comment, as if to point out that I have used more resources than I am paying for. Which brings me to my next point, the price. $20 for a dog wash, I have used self dog washes for years and have only ever paid $10 or $15, never 20, but again, they can charge what they want because they are the only self wash in the area.\r \r The grooming prices are ridiculous, $65 for a wash, when I could go to PETCO and pay $30.\r \r The place smells horrendous, I have to hold my breath every time I walk in. I know that dog daycares smell, but the smell is repugnant. I have never been in a doggie daycare that smelled so bad. Its only in the front, where the self wash is, you can still smell it but not as strong when you walk in. more

Highly recommended 3/6/2010

Before moving I needed to bath my very dirty Siberian Husky and knew that it was going to take more than my bathtub at home. My Hood Pet Resort had just what I needed. A dog wash tub at my height, with plenty of brushes, soap and time to wash several times through her very thick fur. They supplied me with all the many towels and all the time I needed to bath and dry her. They also did an excellent job clipping her nails for me more

Yuck 3/1/2010

I finally got around to checking out this place after passing it a million times on my weekly trips between Portland and Bend. I thought it might be a good option as my previous dog daycare has gotten too crowded for my taste.\r \r I thought the owner was quite brusque and seemed bothered by my questions and appeared unhappy about me interrupting her cigarette break. I toured the facility and immediately noticed a pungent urine smell upon entering the building. The owner brushed off my concerns by telling me about the state of the art astroturf they installed and how wonderful it is. Maybe, but the smell was worse than any pound I've visited and I won't be a future customer here. Yuck. more

When my dog is happy, I am happy 1/22/2010

I drop my dog off here several times a month and every time she is smiling, tail wagging, tongue hanging out of her mouth and has fallen asleep within two blocks. The owner, Trina is very friendly and knows my dog by name. She has even taken the leash from us in the parking lot! \r \r I highly recommend this place. You're dog will thank you. more
