My husband and I visit South Florida annually and this is the worst restaurant we have encountered. We were seated on the patio with two other tables. The waitress came and I asked for a water while I looked at the wine list. She brought a bottle of Pelligrino and poured it, even though I asked for tap water. Initially I thought this the custom at the restaurant until another table was seated and received tap water. I then asked if they had half portions or could see a children's menu as I was dieting. She replied "No. You don't like our food? Then don't order". My husband ordered a pizza and I did not order a meal after the servers rudeness. My husband's pizza came and he ate while I sipped on my water. Then his veneer came out in a bite of pizza. At which time, my husband stopped eating and slipped away to call the dentist. I ate one piece of pizza and asked for the check. When the waitress brought the check, I was charged $7 for my water and $2 for "splitting" the pizza. I gave the waitress a skeptical glance and was told "I watched you eat it. You should eat pasta". The sauce on my one piece was bland and we were not impressed with the pizza (it wasn't aweful just not special) and the service was horrible. There's a reason many other restaurants in the area are busy and Ludos was not. more

This could possible be the worst italian resteraunt (more like a pizza place) in all of South Florida. The chicken parm was of stringy and barely chewable. I cant remember an instance in my lifetime that I have ever sent a chicken parm back. I'm sorry but one bad meat experience is enough to keep me away. Ordered a spinach pizza which mind you was nothing more than anything out of the freezer case. Regardless of the bad reviews on yelp, i gave it an honest try. Wish i can have that hour of my life back. more

We loved it. The food has been delicious everytime. On two seperate occassions the chef has come out speak with us and see if we were enjoying our food. It is clear that he is passionate about his art.\r It is also a good value for the quality you are getting. The service was pretty good, too. My only complaint is that on one occassion the bread seemed a tad stale.\r That being said, if you are not into chefs coming out of the kitchen to chat with you about the food, this may not be the place for you. more

My husband and I were very disappointed. We are new locals and have been trying all the area restaurants. This has been the worst. My wine was old, tasted like vinegar; the salad was very basic and overpriced; the gnocchi was in a canned sauce (or tasted canned at least); spaghetti ala carbonara was ALL bacon, not much room for any other flavor (very rich, overwhelming). They automatically added 15% gratuity (the service was fine; weird that they added tip even for 2 people). The total bill was $70...complete waste of money. How are they still in business? more

After being seated at the table for 20 minutes I was finally served a glass of water .... should have taken that as a sign for things to come. Food could not have been worse. The fish smelled like it was sitting in the Miami sun all afternoon. The pizza still had a piece of multi colored cardboard on the underside that resembled a frozen food box. When I said something they quickly took it back and offered me something else ... no thanks, Another in my party ordered the gnocchi which was fair at best considering it was swimming in canned sauce .... one can only hope it was prepared far enough away from the fish. Guess they count on the tourist traffic cause I doubt any local would ever return. Dare I say this place makes the Olive Garden look 5 star. Eat at your own risk ... if they are still open (place was less than half full on a Saturday night!) more

My husband and I go for date night every Saturday. We usually go to places that are recommended by our friends, Ludos came up for conversation. Everyone was raving about the lobster lasagna. Since I do not eat seafood I made sure to do my homework on the restaurant. Ludos is on the heart of Coconut Grove, a classy and welcoming place. The restaurant has tables outside with live Italian music that transport you to the mother country of the restaurant. The hostess and waitress were very welcoming and had knowledge about every dish in the menu. I had many questions about the dishes since I am a nightmare of a guest for dinner. I still can not remember or can pronounce what I had; it was white pasta with mushrooms. The food was exquisite! The perfect Italian meal, with an explosion of flavors that are none I've ever had. The portions were perfectly calculated by the chef, one more bite and it would have been too much, it was perfect. My husband had the lobster lasagna, he did not talk all night all he did was eat. He was so mesmerized by his dinner he insisted on desert. We had the tiramisu, a type of dessert that not everyone call pull off. To say it was great does the tiramisu no justice…As we continued with our love affair with Ludos we saw so many celebrities coming in for their fix of divine food. We have recommended this restaurant to every one of our friends and family. Ludos we will see you very soon! more

My wife and I enjoyed a late lunch seating outside during Art Festival. We ordered the spinach lasagna and it was great. Service was also very attentive even with a full house and the crowds. Will go back. more

Authentic Italian, Pure Italian. Only Italian wines, great selection and well priced. The food is tastily presented, and simply delicious. We started with Antipasto Italiano (Fresh mozzarella, salame, coppa and black olives) and Insalata Mista (Tomato, lettuce & radicchio). Our main courses were homemade Eggplant parmigiana and Veal parmigiana with pasta. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and professionally prepared. Pros: Great Italian wine and food at a reasonable price more
