Lucky Linda's Body Art

After going to Lucky Linda's the first time probably a couple years ago i vowed never to go back due to the very poor customer service i recieved. Since then I have heard mixed opinions on the shop so i decided to go with a friend to check it out again. this second trip was made just recently and sealed my opinion on never to go back again. When getting a tattoo or piercing, i think the experience is just as important as what your getting. Though i wasn't allowed in the room my friend while she was getting pierced, I was told the new lady piercing is very nice and knowledgable which is the only good thing that i heard out of the shop that day. I was waiting and continued to hear private financial conversations about the shop, Linda announced the amount of the tip to everyone(which i think is disrespectful to the other employees), the front desk was so disorganized it was ridiculous and then to top it off they were making bad references to my tattoo and piercing shop while i was involved in t he conversation. i think it is very rude and disrespectful to knock down another shop in front of clients. this is just a heads up that it may be in the shops interest to watch their conversations while clients are present. tattoos and piercings are a wonderful experience for people so if Lucky Linda's is trying to keep there clients, maybe a word to the wise an effort to make the customer comfortable being there is a better way to go then what your doing now. Pros: They seem to know what they are doing Cons: Bad customer service, over-priced for what you get. more

Wait so do Asha and Nick still work there? They both helped me with my nose piercing. I also recommended Asha and she did three of my friends' piercings. They were so great! Pros: Great Service Cons: I took out my piercing too early and had to get it redone. I wasnt told about the aftercare (the first time). more

When I got my piercing done at Lucky Linda's in about November of '07 they did a wonderful job. I had gotten my belly button pierced, and everything was perfect. I had a girl who did my piercing and she went though every step and had asked me if I was afraid of needles (which I am) so she said to close my eyes for a few minutes.\r As I was lying down with my hands under my butt it took about 5 seconds for her to do the piercing and about 1 minute to clean it properly and such. I was surprised because the day after in school I had body shape and tone class and to my luck, it was ab work out day. To my surprise it didn't hurt at all to do crunches. I cleaned it in the morning and before bed every day for about a month then, just cleaned it whenever I showered and have had no problems. The only ""problem"" I had was occasional pussing. I think that was because it was a different barbell I had baught for it so I usually just leave the one they pierced me with in or put in a dangly one on weekends. Now I don't have to clean it and I love it :) Pros: great people, good service Cons: none? more

I went in for my first Tattoo today. I wanted a Vikings Warrior but with the MN Vikings colors in it. I had a black and white sketch that I had found. I loved the look of it, but it needed some color. Alan did an excellent job coloring it. His idea's turned out far better than what I envisioned it to look like. It turned out awesome! more

I AM NOT A RUTHLESS PERSON, BUT MY EXPERIENCE AT LUCKY LINDAS WAS HORRIBLE!!! THEY DID MY FIRST PIERCING AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY MESSED UP ON IT! THEY PIERCED IT WRONG! I came in this afternoon with the intention on getting a piece I had gotten 6 months prior by a former artist touched up and look into possibly getting another piece done. I was met by Al who evaluated my touch-up and quoted me a reasonable price on the new piece that I wanted.\r \r Al was very enjoyable to work with. He was respectful of my presence and I really liked talking to him -- he made the experience of the tattoo pretty neat. His work was very good and I think that I will definitely come back to have him do another piece in the future.\r \r The shop, overall, wasn't too bad. There was a much older woman working there that took my ID in the beginning and charged my credit card at the end. It was kind frustrating because she ended up not giving me the lotion that I had purchased and I had to come back to get it. Their credit card setup prevents giving a tip and my card had to be charged a second time to accommodate for the it. It is only for those two reasons that I am giving the place 4 stars instead of 5. more

It was my second tattoo and they totally hooked me up there. Lucky lindas prices were by far better than any other place I stopped at before her. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who is going to get a tattoo. more

Al did a wonderful job! It was my 1st tatoo ever. I sent him the design earlier in the day and he was able to mock it up and do my tatoo that evening. Had it put on the back of my neck and it hardly hurt. Al is wonderful & made my experience a good one. It was a great experience and all the people there, Al, Linda and their mom, were nice, fairly friendly and made me feel really comfortable. Plus the shop was busy. 7 over customers there waiting for tatoos and body piercings.\r \r Due to the disgruntled employees who posted some bad reviews, I was somewhat hesitant to go there but I had 2 friends who went a few weeks prior to me getting mine who had a wonderful experiences and had great tatoo jobs done! One of them has already been back for another. Pretty cool! I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Their great!!\r \r Plus, if the coupon is still available, print it out and use it. I saved me $20. \r \r Pros: Great people--Al was wonderful! Cost was not bad. Easy to park, Made 1st experience a great one. Cons: Can be busy on friday night. Mom is not the friendliest person. more

Exactly the previous staff voluntarily walked out due to the management and the changes that were happening to the shop. This change was really for the worse. Lucky Linda's had great artist and now when i went in about a month ago they had a guy that it was his first day in there that didn't really know what he was doing and an artist that was just a loser and didn't care about the clients and was only worried about the money. I think that sense the changes went in at Lucky Linda's the shop as really went down hill and fast!! I got a half sleeve of tribal that me and an artist at Lucky Lindas at the time worked with me for 2 weeks getting it perfect and exactly what i wanted. The experience was great but now it's the total opposite and my artist was one of the many that has walked out from working there... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET ANYTHING DONE THERE!!! The past employees were not let go, they quit, all of them at the same time. Do not go to this shop. The owner seems to be a coniving schemer with no loyalties and absolutely no talent. I am a legitimate angry customer, not an angry ex-employee of linda's and I will never go back there and have told everyone I can think of to do the same. more

I would never go back there since Scott left because he fixed two tattoos that Linda had done for me. They were just awfull. He made them look great and when I called she said that she fired him. Thats not cool! I wish I could find him because I have more work for him to fix for me. more

The lady that owns this place is a terrible tattoo artist! Linda scarred up a friend of mine so badly she couldnt even get laser removal because the scar was to thick, HORRIBLE more

this place used to have a couple of good artists in it ,,,,they all quit even though linda said they were fired.... she is the worst tattoo artist ive ever seen she cant draw ,she cant outline ,she cant color ,she cant shade... never ever go to this shop....linda is the worst in the state Cons: linda more

Linda did all my work ...I get great comments all the time, She is the only one who i would let touch my work.\r awesome artist, great person. I tell all my friends to go to her. more

You may underestimate the quality, but they are very nice and considerate of you. Even though they have a tiny little spot off 4th street,they make the best of it... People in there look different but that just shows the expierience that they have!!\r I would recommmend to go there for anyone at any age! Pros: alright little place,nice people Cons: looks very scary for a new comer more
