Loves Park Scuba & Snorkel

Recently my ten year old son and I completed the open water training course with Captain Dan and his dive masters at Pearl Lake and I have to say that every step of the training was thorough and fun from the class room to the heated indoor pool sessions to the two days of open water dives. Captain Dan never hesitated once to stop the class for any questions or further explanations on topics or misconceptions that the students had. He spent extra time with anyone who asked or people he thought needed further help to get a firm grip on the lessons during and after classes. Every training session there were also dive masters and instructor candidates helping us out and sharing excellent advice and adventures. Had my daughter's birthday scuba birthday party at Loves Park Scuba and all the kids had a blast! 2 hours and only $149.99 and it even included pizza and punch. With up to 15 kids attending, that's only $10 per kid. Definitely better than any other birthday party event. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. And their scuba lessons are now 2 for 1 - also the lowest I have priced in the area. I am very impressed by their operation. Very professional! more

We have a real gem right here in Northern Illinois. Excellent on-site pool, classroom and talented staff made getting certified a real pleasure. The shopping was great too. Stop in and visit the Lockwood museum while you're there. No need to even consider another shop. It's all right here! D.D. more

I got my Open Water PADI Certification for $100! Loves Park Scuba has an indoor training tank where you do all your dives for open water certification. They also have a huge hottub for before or after lessons. The equipment to buy is a little expensive, but the prices for certification are very inexpense. It is worth getting your certification instead of going to a resort and paying each time to get resort-certified. more
