Much Imporved 8/26/2003

This Airport used to be a very standard AP,but new changes and attitude you feel the New Orleans flavor as soon as you arrive. I have travel to a lot of different AP,Detriot,Memphis,CA,FL,TX and none have a different feel. In MSY you know your aren't in Kansas anymore Pros: Beautiful Women, Food, Party Cons: Airlines, Luggage Srceens, Party Never Stop more

A mess 2/21/2003

The New Orleans Airport has struggled through many different formulas for traffic flow in and out of the airport. Until Sep 11th, the current, very strange flow pattern seemed to work but now it has completely broken down. The airport interior requires long walks especially to the single rental car shuttle station and has the smell of mold in the older sections. Not a great place to get stuck... a real mess. Food is over priced, crowds are large, and facilities are limited. more

Hopefully Getting Better 10/21/2002

Due to the change in administration to Mayor Naguin, I think things at Louis Armstrong International will soon look up. When the new parking garage opens, parking woes should be limited. Pros: Compact, Relaxed, Friendly Cons: Limited flights, Outdated design more

""Louis Armstrong"" International Airport has always suffered something of an inferiority complex compared to other, bigger and busier airports...heck, the whole thing could fit into a corner of Atlanta's Hartsfield. Yes, there could be better food and drink options along the concourses, more and ample parking would help, and the main ticket/checkin area could definitely use a makeover. Still, better to refurbish this one before trying to build another one somewhere in the swamps. more
