Great horchata but, lousy daytime employees 4/9/2009

This place has got great food. It has the best rice milk. The employees are really nice and friendly.I really like going there. My mom and I love it. At Night! The reason, that I am giving it such a low rating, is that we decided to get some food today. We usually go at night. This might be the first time and it will be the last for a long time. This afternoon, we pulled up and the guy said to "Order by number, when you're ready". So, we said that we were and he said it again. We tried to start ordering but, he kept cutting us off. He would not stop saying "Order by number, when you're ready". It did not matter WHAT we said. He was yelling it, non-stop. I started thinking that maybe he just couldn't hear us. So, we pull around, to the window. He comes up and glares at us. I start to say, that I was thinking, maybe he couldn't hear us. He said, that he'd been telling us to order. Then he starts up again and he starts YELLING "Order by number, when you're ready". He went on for a while. I tried to talk to him but, he just kept up this chant. Then he storms off. I am still trying to reason and I call, for him to wait a minute. A girl, then comes to the window. She says that they could hear us and we cannot be ordering, at the window. If we liked, then maybe we can drive around and try to order again. I said "Are you kidding me"? We just left. Betos is NOT close by and those unhappy kids (employees) just wasted time and gas. We just went and got food, somewhere else. We have liked going there. I guess we (or anyone) can only order food at night. The daytime employees don't seem to want anyone around. Pros: The best horchata in town Cons: The daytime employees hate everyone more

Great Food!!! 11/20/2005

Being a great cook especially Mexican food, they are up to my high standards. I have lived in Ohio, Vegas, Maryland, and now California. Out of all the foods my husband and I experienced that was our favorite. It is simple yet good food and they have huge burritos! Nachos and California Burritos are our favorites. more

BAD service 4/8/2004

I went to try Los Bestos not only for myself, but for my co-workers and they couldn'g fill an order I ASKED for which was one extra taco with the two they sell together. He (mgr.) told me this ain't no Taco Bell! Go down the street if I wanted food that wasn't REAL meat! I tried to explain I just one more taco added to the order at a a la cart price and he said, "We do't do special orders and to go the that fake restaurant and get my food there! He then started yelling and told me to "NEVER TO COME BACK AGAIN!!!!!!" I wonder if he knows word of mouth travels fastest? Pros: none, none, none Cons: , Unprofessional, BAD Manners more

Editorial
  • The Scene
It inhabits the oddly familiar former shell of a fast-food chain restaurant, with its industrial-brown floor tiles, wood-grained Formica booths and faux stained glass lamps still intact. The crowd may consist of lunching construction workers, families out for dinner, or drunken partygoers out for a midnight snack. Lightening fast service makes it a dream for lunchtime takeout.

    The Food
The tacos, burritos and enchiladas are strictly Mexican, as opposed to New Mexican, which means you won't have your choice of red or green chile smothering everything. In fact, the food may come across as bland to those who require a chile kick with every meal, but it will be a welcome relief to those who don't like extreme spice. A tub of hot sauce comes with every order to add more flavor if you so desire.
