Best

We’re a blended family. His are teenagers, mine preteens and ours a toddler. With such a wide range of ages, it took some negotiation to decide on what theme park or attraction ...

something for everyone 6/10/2010

My friend and I have a quest: to see Chinatown in every major city in the US. When we went to LA this month, we went to Chinatown on the “LA Grand Tour and Movie Stars’ Homes” tour with Los Angeles Sightseeing Tours. We got to see so many other great things in addition to Chinatown, and it was one of our favorite days there. This tour is a full day, and the best thing about it is that you will see things you would not have put on your own itinerary, but they turn out to be really cool. I wouldn’t have thought to go to a church, but the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is absolutely amazing. You probably wouldn’t think that a train station was a great tourist site, either, but Union Station was very impressive. There is something for everyone, so it’s especially good to take this tour if you are with family or a large group where everyone has different interests. more

Great Time With Los Angeles Sightseeing 6/9/2010

I came out to LA to visit a friend who's lived there her whole life, so she dutifully took me to all the touristy things like Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Walk of Fame and to see the homes of the stars. Then we wanted to do something a little different, so we booked a bus trip to Mexico through Los Angeles Sightseeing. It was great--exciting for me since I had never been to Mexico--and not the same old showing people around LA that I know she's had to endure every time someone comes to visit. The tour company picked us up at my hotel early in the morning and brought us to Tijuana for shopping and local cuisine. Yum! The bus was comfortable, the operator very friendly, and the whole day was very efficiently planned out. Better yet, all we had to do was relax and enjoy the ride. Not a bad way to end a California vacation! more

A Great Compromise! 6/6/2010

I love my sister, but we have totally different tastes. We went to Los Angeles on vacation recently. As far as I’m concerned, LA is all about the glamour, the movies, and the beaches. My sister thinks it’s all about the theatre, the museums, and the beaches. (Okay, so we do agree on something.) Fortunately, we did our research before we left, and booked a tour with LA Sightseeing. In the morning, we pretended we were Julia Roberts on Rodeo Drive, saw the footprints at the Chinese theater and the stars on Hollywood Blvd., then drove along a scenic route and went by some stars’ homes. Santa Monica pier and the 3rd St promenade let us do some real, non-Julia Roberts-type shopping. In the afternoon, it was her turn. We went to the Getty Center, still on the same bus. I have to admit it was pretty cool. When I got tired of looking at pictures and statues, I was able to hang out in the beautiful gardens and enjoy the view, or grab a cappuccino in the café. Who would have thought we’d find one tour that would make us both happy? I got my movie fix and she got her culture. The service was great. They picked us up at our hotel, and the bus driver was real friendly and had lots of good information. It was well worth the fare not to have to drive all over LA, esp at the end of the day. We were both beat, but we had fun! more

Fun way to see the sights 6/5/2010

I’m not usually a bus tour person, but I had a great experience with LA Sightseeing! I had some friends and family in town the other weekend, some of whom had never been to the city before, and I wanted to show them around. But since there were too many of us to fit in my car, I had the brilliant idea of signing us up for a bus tour. I chose LA Sightseeing because the price was good, and also because their LA City tour seemed to offer a solid overview of famous locations (Hollywood, beaches, Beverly Hills, stars’ homes, etc.) Anyway, it turned out to be a smart move! Our driver was fun and personable, the bus was clean and comfortable, we saw all the big sights, and let me tell you, it was much more relaxing than driving and parking all over the city myself! I’ll use LA Sightseeing again next time I need to show a bunch of friends around the city. more

Awesome All-Day Tour 5/23/2010

I don't usually write a lot of reviews, but once in a while a company stands out as well worth it. My friends and I recently took a tour with Los Angeles Sightseeing tours and had a great time. We booked online, which was really easy, and then the tour company came to pick us up from our hotel. We paid just a little over $100 for an all-day tour that included complimentary transportation from the hotel and back again, all of the amazing sights, and our time at Universal Studios. We really only had to worry about cash for food and souvenirs. We did so much on this tour. We saw celebrity homes, went shopping on Rodeo Drive, saw the famous stars on the Walk of Fame, took in amazing views of Los Angeles, rode Revenge of the Mummy and a bunch of other rides, and had an excellent meal before heading back to the hotel. Great trip! more

California native...still impressed! 5/22/2010

Good: I loved the fact that I was born and raised in Southern California and I still learned plenty about Hollywood. The tour guide was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. My favorite part was getting up close to the Hollywood sign...I've only really seen it from the 405 and 10 freeways!. Bad: I can't think of anything. It surpassed my expectations every way. At first I was reluctant to spend my money getting a tour of a place where I lived, but it was much more fun than I thought possible.. Improvements: Again, I have no complaints! I would recommend that you time your tour during parts of the day where traffic is less crowded. Our bus driver certainly knew his way around town and knew all the shortcuts, but I got stuck on the way back to our hotel! Of course that has nothing to do with Los Angeles Sightseeing...they were perfect in every way.. Other: I now live in Texas, but I traveled back to Los Angeles on a business trip with my company. Everyone wanted to go on an open air bus tour of Hollywood, so I booked with Los Angeles Sightseeing. It was easy to navigate the website, and within a few minutes we were all set with the tour. We hit all the landmarks such as the Hollywood Sign, Mann's Chinese Theater, the Kodak Theater (where they hold the Academy Award ceremonies) and even parts of Beverly Hills. We had a nice view of the ocean, too.. more

Easy Way to See LA 5/19/2010

I love taking tours when visiting new cities--it's one of the first things I do. That way I get an easy overview of the main tourist attractions, and I can go back later to the ones I want to spend more time on. Anyway, my day with Los Angeles Sightseeing was great. I signed up for their open air tour of Hollywood--it was a great way to soak in the California sunshine and see all the biggest landmarks. My favorite was Rodeo Drive--I've been dreaming of Beverly Hills since I was just a kid and watched Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. But also got to see the Hollywood Sign and see some famous stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. My tour guide was funny and entertaining, and he definitely kept my interest throughout the tour. It was well worth the $50. more
