these people are a rip off artist, they charge you one thing and not close to what is quoted

great job with my wife's car 3/11/2011

I've been here a couple times with my car and my wife's car. They always do a really good job on my cars and they always get the cars back to us within the time predicted if not sooner then what they predicted for them to take care of the repairs. more

Thieves and terrible mechanics 1/28/2011

All the bad reviews are true. The owner is a liar and a theif. I took my 4Runner to Lone Star Engine for a complete engine rebuild in 2007.\r \r They stole my $150 high-end SUV battery and denied it. At the very end, when I was picking up my truck, he admitted they stole it and offered me twenty bucks and said that was all I was getting. Furthermore they ruined my exhaust system, plugged vacuum hoses with brass bb's, stole parts and left off parts (including intake bracket, spark plug wire looms, and a/c compressor bolts).\r \r Avoid this place at all costs. They are liars and did a terrible job on my 4Runner. One year later I couldn't pass an inspection and I'm looking at over $2k in repairs to fix their mistakes.\r \r Please, please don't risk it. Find somewhere else to work on your car. The cheap prices are cheap for a reason more

took my custom 91 chevy caprice on 26"" rims to lone star engine and i am a happy customer. one day my car started jerking while i was driving so i called lone ster engine and they told me to get it over there so i paid the tow truck driver to pick up my car and when they got it, it took 5 weeks before i got my car back i was told they where backed up. when i got my car back it was running grate and i got big rims! they told me if i had ""any"" problems to take it back so they could check it. lone star engine thanks for the grate job!!!! now I'm still on the road and my car still work grate!! like my dad always told me... 'take care of your car and it will take care of you!! just keep up with your tone up's!!!!! more

I DID NOT feel like I was getting ripped off 11/30/2010

I had to take my car in to get serviced. The car was out of warranty. The service did not take long and they made me aware of any other items that needed to be repaired. I DID NOT feel like I was getting ripped off. The total repair bill was cheaper than any other dealership I had been to before. I was happy with their work and I will be returning to them if I need repairs again. more
