Lobster Trap

I WILL NEVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN! We took my mother-in-law here for her birthday, It was all of our first time there, There were 6 of us.. We had 2 of our grandkids with us, and 4 adults I ordered a lobster salad at 21.95 (this is while myself and my grand-daughter, who were both wearing shorts, were getting bit by flea's or something.) OK well it's summer who knows. The first meal did arrive in a timely manner, BUT they were all served one at a time. My mother-in-law received her meal last! She said everyone will be done eating by the time mine arrives and have to wait for me.. She ordered the lobster pie. It was lobster in butter, broiled, no breading or anything else. OK!?!?! Her friend ordered shrimp scampi which he said was fine, and my husband ordered a fish sandwich with frozen fish. Our grandson order chicken fingers, which he complained tasted funny, and I did smell them and thought maybe they fried them with the fish, because it smelled like it..(more on that later) Our granddaughter ordered a grilled cheese which was fine. Both meals came with fries that looked fine and no complaints. My lobster salad arrived with these HUGE, and I mean HUGE pieces of lettuce, 2 green pepper rings and 2 red onion rings, a few cherry tomatoes and maybe 2 oz of lobster on top. I could not cut the salad with the butter knife and had to ask for a steak knife, I also asked the waitress is this all you get for lobster? A few minutes later she came back with a 1/4 of a claw and piece of knuckle from a lobster roll with the mayo and celery still on it. I had blue cheese dressing and butter I asked for on the side for the lobster that was plain as it should have been. I am thinking after what I tell you next is that the lobster with the mayo and celery came from a lobster roll another customer didn't finish. I would have eaten the other lobster and left the mayo lobster and shut my mouth and probably not go back, but after taking 10 minutes to cut up the lettuce and few vegetables, when I started eating the salad I was crunc more

Simply the worst food ever. I ordered a 1 3/4 lb lobster that maybe weighed a pound and it was $35. Wow! And my salad was wilted and mushy! The owner was screaming at the staff! My husbands pasta dish was bland and only had a couple pieces of fish in it! Surprised they r still in business! Go somewhere else! more

Good: Not one thing !. Bad: No veggies. No bread. Small portions. Did not accept discount coupon (10%) on mid-day meal ... there were no asterics or disclaimers. Simply refused. Waited for service. Waited for food and it was just warm. Only 2 table in restaurant and we were paid no attention ... other table had a "cook in apron" sitting and BS'ing about the restaurant and their restaurant. Scallops were small and totalled 10 in total. Haddock was bland and tasteless; small sized.. Improvements: Honor coupons (or at least put in disclaimer somewhere). Provide bread at table; Provide some veggies w/meal.. Other: The money spent was not worth, and we left with an empty stomach! Don't waste your dollars here.. more

Good: We like the clambake special - steamers, lobster, soup & salad. That suits have of the table. The other half order ala carte and they are happy too!. Bad: The staff works hard, but sometimes there's a longer wait than you want because it takes time to get everything done.. Improvements: None. If you have a large group or don't want to wait, arrive between 4 - 5 pm and you'll be fine.. Other: The owner is a man of strong opinions and stronger voice. Pray that he doesn't pull up a chair at the next table: That'll be the end of YOUR conversation for the evening.. more
