LKN is not the biggest shop nor does it have the greatest selection in town. But what they do have is a couple of very helpful people ready to fit you to a set of clubs without all of the sales pressure. In an example of the "keep it simple stupid" philosophy, they provide a basic demo hitting net, and simple swing speed and contact angle software to help you figure your swing data. It's nothing fancy but it doesn't have to be. It's free too. No need to make and appointment or have snooty sales representatives tell you to spend $150 for a complete club fitting experience. Not at LKN - just a tape measure, some demo clubs and a hitting cage and you get the same results. If you decide you want clubs and they dont have them on the shelf, theyll order them for you at what seems to be a wholesale price. For example, I saved $200 off the discounted price at other online retailers for a brand new set of irons. The also have the tools to re-grip, adjust lie angles, re-shaft, etc. It doesnt have to be a fancy big box store or snobbish country club pro shop to get the job done.
Pros: Helpful, unpretentious staff with the tools to fit you to a new set of clubs.
Cons: Small store can get crowded and staff can be kept busy.
