I called on a Monday to make an appt to tour the daycare and was told there ""might be a waiting list"". I set the tour up for Friday afternoon (they don't do tours after 4:30, so good luck trying to work around your work schedule). I asked them to please call me if the Director did decide to waitlist me, as I really needed to have the daycare situation resolved in the next few weeks for my son. I gave them three different numbers to contact me at (home, cell, work), should they need to.\r

On Friday, I took time off without pay from work, drove like a madwoman through rush hour traffic to get there, and was told after I got in the door that there was a waiting list. I immediately asked why I wasn't called and told that, and the girl shrugged her shoulders and said the Director had ""just reviewed the list today."" \r

If I knew on Monday that I had a parent coming in for a tour on Friday and might have to waitlist their child, I'd certainly review my list long before the day of their tour. And I'd make sure they were called. Not much on communication, are they?\r

You can bet that even if a spot opens up, I'm most likely not going to take the opening. I prefer a center that follows up and shows some attention and courtesy to their clients. If this is how they treat a parent, what kind of care will my son get?
