L'italia Restaurant

Gross! " almost forgot about this place. I came across it while urbanspooning :)I worked here in college as a server/manager and would highly recommend checking out the back kitchen/ server station before eating here! There were so many cockroaches there that they would literally stare at you in broad day light begging for food! You can even Google the cockroach right ups from inspections. There were at least a hundred cockroach legs mixed in with the crumbs of the crouton bin for caesar salads. The servers use to lick the canoli filling out of the tube. And we would all have our dirty little hands in the bread warmer. And the tables are wiped down with lemon juice not sanitizer...Mmmmmm. I'm now a trained Public Health Inspector... I wonder if Gervacio would pass inspection now if I paid a nice visit for old time sake! But hey! If you like the food then what you don't know won't hurt you? Or will it? " more

I have had many wonderful dining experiences at the L'italia Restaurant. The restaurant is easily accessible for people like me who live in new market I can get there right off of the I81. The food is very good and the decor is nice and authentic. - John R. more

My Fillet Mignon from L'Italia was amazing. It was cooked to perfection, and the server was attentive and available my entire meal! I got the Fillet Mignon this time, but the selection on the menu is so large that I know next time I go to visit I will have to try something new! - Tammi more

Right on Route 33 (E. Market) before you hit the hotel district, is a little... not-so-impressive restaurant called L'italia. But walk through the doors and find yourself in a lovely and classy establishment. In the space of a year... they've added a whole lot of class without loosing the fantastic food and managed to keep the prices relatively low. Best tomato, basil and mozzerella salad in town. Great "smoking room" 30's or 40's style lounge where you can have a drink before being seated. more
