It is interesting how little people know about what an Interior Designer actually does. When I start working with a client, new worlds open up for them. My choices are limitless, so I have the client tell me in words and pictures what they like, whether it is for a living room or a kitchen remodel. I work throughout the entire interior, designing, helping the client select and managing the project from beginning to end. I can work with an architect or builder, or on my own, depending on the scope of the project. There are always many balls in the air. Change is challenging. It is exciting and my job is to make it enjoyable for the client. After a brief phone conversation, I meet with the prospective client in their home to find out more about the scope of the project. At that meeting I share my portfolio, method of designing and how that applies to the potential client's project. I also share my professional history, awards, education & qualifications. If we are a fit, the agreement is signed and the project begins.
