The best 6/23/2010

Lime Leaf is the best Thai food in town and around town. My family and I go there regularly, at least one a month, including special occasion or out off town family visiting. I've been recommend this place to a lot of my friends, nothing but good feedback. Their price is affordable $6.95 lunch and $7.95 dinner. Yet good food, good price, nice service and very clean, what else do you expect? My favorite will be Satay Chicken skillwer, Calamari Fritter, Crying Tiger Salad, the best Coconut Milk Soup, Pad Ke Mao (drunken noodle...I think), Panang Curry Salmon, BBQ Beef and Pork, Spicy Green Bean, Garlic Eggplant......Oh can't forget their Cashew Nut...Ho So Yummy. I pretty much like everthing there. Like i said, we have been eating there a lots for 4-5 years now. I just can't get enough of you...Lime Leaf :-) Pros: Cute place, Great experience, Great price, Good service Cons: don't know yet more

left overs 7/31/2009

Spent my anniversary at this joint, the ambiance is cute. but, the food tastes like left overs from previous day. more

Great Food! 12/15/2008

I was in town (from the bay area) to visit family and was craving some Thai food. I looked this up place on Citysearch and thought we would all give it a try. We had a large group, so we ordered a lot....the Chicken Pad Kee Mow, Sweet and Sour Prawn as well as Pork, beef fried rice, pork pad thai as well as the spring rolls. We had to order desert as well, so we ordered coconut fried bananas w/ coconut ice cream and mango's with sweet sticky rice. I really don't think anything was bad. My favorite had to be the Pad Kee Mow and Sweet sticky rice! Its a small place, but big enough to accommodate a large family. The service was excellent and the food came out relatively quick. Pros: Service, Ambience, Good value Cons: the food didn't all come out at once, so some of us had to wait a couple minutes more

Good Thai food for Castro Valley 8/2/2007

My friends & I came here after peewee golfing at Golfland. Castro Valley doesn't have a lot of restaurants to choose from, so I was surprised when someone recommended this place. I'm usually quite skeptical of thai food because my favorite Thai restaurant is Little Home in pleasanton and I consider it the best Thai food around. Our group ordered quite a variety of dishes to share family style. We tried the yellow curry with chicken, pad thai, basil garlic fried rice, peanut sauce with spinach and pork green beans. The portions seemed a bit small for the price, but overall, the food was quite good. My favorite was probably the pad thai and the fried rice. The curry was a bit on the watery side. Lime Leaf is probably my 2nd choice after Little Home. Pros: Good location, good food Cons: Portions of food seem small in some cases more

Excellent menu--nice little place 2/11/2007

My family has been visiting the little Lime Leaf Thai restaurant in the Castro Valley ""Village"" for several months -- it's so good that we've been keeping a running list of what we eat so we can be sure to work our way through the entire menu and not miss out on anything. I haven't found a single dish that wasn't absolutely delicious.\r \r The dinner menu is extensive, with a range of dishes from not hot to moderately hot (spicey). Service is quick. The place is popular especially on weekends but we've always been able to find a table. It's small, with subdued lighting, and very pleasant. It's in the Village shopping center so there's always parking.\r \r I am not an experienced Thai foodie, but my daughter and her boyfriend, who live in Walnut Creek, are Thai restaurant enthusiasts, and they say this is one of the very best they've seen; ""It's hard to find a *good* Thai restaurant,"" he says. ""This place is great.""\r \r Darn, I'm making myself hungry just writing about this! Pros: Absolutely delicious food; good ambience, service, and value. Parking available. Cons: Not really anything I can think of! more
